Excelladus looks well placed here in a very skinny midway.
He should get a soft run from barrier 2, allowing him to run out a strong mile.
I can see him stalking the leaders from the perfect draw, and I can’t see too much pace on up front.
This looks like his ideal scenario.
Floating looks the obvious danger after dropping back significantly in grade.

Brookspire can win here if she reproduces her best form.
Her two trials leading into this event tell me she is ready to fire fresh.
She had an indifferent autumn, however, she is the class runner here.
Authentic Jewel will be thereabouts after putting together a very consistent preparation.
She has had good market support in early betting.
Best Roughie - Randwick Race 1

Extra Flash looks excellent each-way value.
He was game in defeat last start, and he deserves a crack at this level.
He will get the run of the race, and I expect him to be in the finish.
He has been absolutely smashed since betting opened!
Pretty Woman is another one that has been well supported in early markets.
She has previously won second up and races well in this grade.
