Via Sistina $1.50

Via Sistina finds her pet distance third-up from a spell.

The super freak beat a handy field in the Group 1 Verry Elleegant Stakes over a mile at her latest outing, and I suspect she is ready to peak and explode on Saturday.

The World-Class Fastnet Rock mare was sublime during the spring, over 2000m, and she looks incredibly well placed under the weight-for-age scale.

Only bad luck in running will see her colours’ lowered.

Fawkner Park was fantastic fresh in a hot form race.

The Zoffany gelding will benefit significantly from his first-up performance, and he finds his ideal conditions.

His record at the track and trip must be respected, and he is a must for all broader multiples and exotics. His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Wodeton $5.00

Wodeton is ready to peak.

The Wootton Bassett colt covered more ground than the early settlers fresh, however; he still managed to produce outrageous and sizzling late sectionals.

The expensive Coolmore two-year-old did everything but win second-up, and I suspect he only died on his run inside the final furlong.

The James McDonald and Chris Waller combination must be respected, and the perfect inside draw should give his key rivals sleepless nights leading into Saturday’s feature event.

Hard to toss!

Skyhook can cause a boilover if the favourite experiences traffic issues.

The Written Tycoon colt was an explosive winner of the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes, and he looks dangerous on the quick back-up.

The consistent two-year-old can push forward with a clean break from the barriers, and if he can stack them up before they run for the doctor, he will fight out the finish!

The class rise is his biggest challenge.

Best Roughie - Rosehill Race 7

Gringotts $9.50/$3.00

Gringotts savaged the line from a different suburb at his latest outing.

The Per Incanto gelding caught the eyes of most punters, and he put the writing on the wall for a successful autumn campaign.

The step out in trip is advantageous, and he is ideally drawn in barrier four.

Tommy Berry retains the ride and traditionally performs well at this stage of his campaign.

Watch for the big boy late!

Fangirl is too classy to dismiss.

The Sebring mare was narrowly beaten second-up in the Group 1 Verry Elleegant Stakes, and she had the audacity to toss the World-Class Via Sistina fresh in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes.

Her best performance here could be fences and panels better than her rivals, and she has been heavily supported since acceptances.

Her record at the track and trip is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Q

$154 for 20%

We have a handful of selections flying the quaddie flag in a cracking edition of the George Ryder Stakes.

Nothing would surprise in the $5,000,000 Golden Slipper, while Private Harry and Commemorative will fight it out in a very skinny Galaxy.

It’s a field job in the final event on the program.

Best of luck!
