Best Bet - Caulfield Race 7

Aeliana $3.20

Aeliana was a brilliant last-start winner at Flemington on Derby Day.

The Castelvecchio filly rounded up the field in a matter of bounds, and she put the race to bed before the final furlong.

She meets similar opposition, and I suspect she has more upside and progression than her rivals.

The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old has started her career in fine style and looks poised to taste Group 1 glory at her sixth career start.

Dominetta was good without winning at her latest outing.

The Zoustar filly didn’t have a clear run at the pointy end of the race, and I suspect the camp will be praying for a change in fortune.

With even luck in transit on Saturday, Hartnell’s half-sister will be there when the whips are cracking.

Next Best - Caulfield Race 9

Jimmysstar $4.00

Jimmysstar has been a revelation this campaign.

After promising the world and delivering an atlas during his autumn preparation, the Per Incanto gelding has delivered in spades during the spring.

His blistering late sectionals have been mouthwatering and eye-catching, and he looks poised to strike in a time-honoured event on Saturday.

Barrier one is advantageous, and the 53kg puts one hoof on the till.

Ready to explode!

Charm Stone has raced exceptional well without winning this campaign.

The I Am Invincible mare was narrowly beaten in a hot form race at her latest outing, and I suspect she is about to produce a peak run for her spring preparation.

She can occupy the box-seat throughout from barrier three, and if she can get off the dulex as they run for the doctor, she can figure in the finish.

Watch for her late!

Best Roughie - Caulfield Race 5

Lempicka $18.00/$4.00

Lempicka is over the odds!

The Rich Enuff mare was good two starts back at Moonee Valley from a mile back, and it may pay dividends to forgive her latest effort at Flemington.

Caulfield suits her racing pattern and style, and barrier one brings her into all winning conversations.

Hard to toss with the right run in transit.

Pharari will have supporters after a solid campaign to date.

The American Pharoah handled the Flemington straight like a shopping trolley at her latest outing, and I suspect she will appreciate bouncing off the Caulfield bend.

The inside draw is advantageous, and the flood of early money indicates another bold performance.
