Best Bet - Rosehill Race 6

In Flight $2.30

In Flight is unstoppable at present.

The Flying Artie filly made it a hatrick of victories at her latest outing, and she looks well placed in this company.

Her record at the distance is outrageous, and she always performs well at Rosehill.

From barrier nine, she will roll forward and pilot the field; if she is left to her own devices throughout, she will prove hard to run down.

Contemporary has turned the corner.

The once bridesmaid has won his both his assignments impressively this campaign, and I suspect he still has improvement to come for the preparation.

The drop back in trip is advantageous, and if the favourite has an off day, he will be there to capitalise late.

His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Tamerlane $6.00

Tamerlane returned to the winners’ circle at the last start.

The Golden Horn gelding lowered the colours of the inform Iknowastar, and he looks well placed to continue on his winning ways here.

The step out to 1500m will suit, and the current track conditions play into his favour.

The allocated weight is his biggest obstacle.

King Of The Castle is knocking on the door.

All runs this preparation have been good without winning, and he looked luckless at a crucial stage at his latest outing.

From barrier four, he will occupy the box seat throughout, and if he sees daylight before the final furlong, I expect him to figure in the finish.

His recent winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Best Roughie - Rosehill Race 10

3

King Of Naples $10.00/$3.00

King Of Naples is over the odds.

He strips fitter after producing several teasing runs, and I suspect he is ready to explode on Saturday.

He sticks to his pet distance on Saturday and has been specked at a price since markets opened.

From the wide gate, he will drift back and find his hooves, and if he doesn’t get too far out of his ground during the middle stages of the race, I expect him to figure in the finish.

Willaidow will start race favourite after turning heads recently at the trials.

The Shamus Award gelding traditionally burns the turf fresh, and his record at the track and distance must be respected.

The James McDonald factor will attract further market support, and with even luck in transit, he will make his presence felt late.

QUADDIE

Q

$96 for 100%

Strathtay, Age Of Sail, and Kureder will all be prominent in the opening leg of the quaddie.

They are all racing well at present, and I suspect their quotes will shorten significantly before the barriers open.

Tamerlane and King Of The Castle will battle it out in the eighth event on the program, while Chorlton Lane has one hoof on the till in the penultimate.

It’s a field job in the lucky last!
