Orchestral $1.60

Orchestral is winning for fun at present.

Her Group 1 form against the boys in New Zealand is first-class, and she looks well placed racing her own age and sex.

The longer trip is advantageous, and I suspect she would have taken a lot of benefit and improvement, from her first outing in Australia.

From barrier three, she will get the perfect run in transit, and If James McDonald presses the go button at the right time, her rivals could be racing for second place.

Zardozi is the obvious danger.

The Kingman filly was good behind the champion Kiwi filly at her latest start, and I suspect she is ready to peak.

She finds her pet distance on Saturday, and if the event turns into a dog fight late, she will stay longer than your mother-in-law.

Via Sistina $2.30

Via Sistina was ultra-impressive when winning the Ranvet Stakes.

The Fastnet Rock mare caught the eyes of punters, and she broke the oncourse clocks with her blistering late sectionals.

Her record at the distance speaks volumes, and her international form is mouthwatering and superior.

From barrier five, she will sit midfield with cover, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, the fat lady could be singing before the final furlong.

Place Du Carrousel was good first-up without winning.

The muddling tempo didn’t suit the Lope De Vega mare, and I suspect she will get a better tempo to suit her racing pattern and style on Saturday.

She is no stranger to the 2000m trip and is undefeated second-up from a spell.

If she can stay in touch with the peloton during the race’s middle stages, she can figure in the finish.

Major Beel $17.00/$5.00

Major Beel is over the odds.

The Savabeel gelding is ready to peak, and both runs this preparation have been ominous.

His last-start Flemington performance put the writing on the wall for a bold performance here, and there has been an avalanche of money for the big boy since markets opened.

He gets in well at the weights, and if he is allowed to control the clock throughout, he may lead his rivals a merry dance.

Serpentine has turned back the clock this campaign.

The rising eight-year-old is winning for fun at present, and he looks poised to claim Group 1 glory on Saturday.

Barrier four should allow the Galileo gelding to run out a strong 3200m, and if the track continues to dry out, I suspect his quote will shorten significantly.
