Port Adelaide vs. GWS

Head-To-Head

But they’ve lost four in a row…

Despite Port Adelaide’s poor run of results, we’re happy to back them in against the Giants as Ken Hinkley’s men look to find form on the eve of finals.

It’s been a tough month for the fourth-ranked side, with losses to Carlton, Collingwood, Adelaide, and Geelong. However, the undermanned Power will welcome the cavalry back in Round 22, with Aliir Aliir, Lachie Jones, Jeremy Finlayson, Miles Bergman, and Kane Farrell expected to return. Charlie Dixon is less likely but will undergo a fitness test later in the week.

After winning 13 in a row earlier in the season, the Power needs to find form, and they need to find it now. Zak Butters and Connor Rozee can’t do it all themselves, although they’re doing a pretty good job.

Suggested Bet:

Port Adelaide to win at $1.43

Sydney vs. Gold Coast

Handicap

The Swans have been the kings of the close wins over the past month, with three of their four victories by an average of five points.

Add in a 29-point triumph over Fremantle (at Optus Stadium), and last year’s grand finalists are putting a whole heap of pressure on those at the bottom end of the top eight.

Errol Gulden is collecting disposals at will on the wing, while Luke Parker and Callum Mills have re-found their best form at the right time of the year.

After defeating the red-hot GWS by 11 points at Giants Stadium, the Swans should have few issues against a Suns team without Wil Powell (ankle).

Suggested Bet:

Sydney (-19.5) at $1.90

Jordan De Goey (Collingwood)

25+ Disposals

17 possessions on a dark day against the Hawks would undoubtedly give the Collingwood star nightmares this week. However, the recent history is on his side.

Every time the dynamic Pie has lowered his colours this season, he has bounced back with a vengeance the following week.

De Goey hit back from a 12-disposal game against Port Adelaide in Round 2 with 35 against Richmond one week later, while he had 31 seven days after collecting just 17 against the Swans in Round 8.

No doubt the heat has been applied to all Collingwood midfielders in the wake of Nick Daicos’ knee injury, and players as talented as De Goey always find a way to redeem themselves.

Suggested Bet:

J. De Goey at $1.91

Hawthorn vs. Western Bulldogs

Same Game Multi

After a minor hiccup, the Western Bulldogs have recaptured their best form with two wins from their past three games, including a 55-point demolition of Richmond on Friday night.

The Dogs were unstoppable as they slotted nine goals in the opening term, with Marcus Bontempelli (32), Adam Treloar (32), Tom Liberatore (31) and Tim English (29 hit-outs) running riot through the middle of the ground.

A loss here could send them outside the eight, but they’re far too good to miss finals, irrespective of how well the Hawks played last week.

  • Leg 1: Bulldogs to win
  • Leg 2: Over 168.5 points
  • Leg 3: T. Liberatore 25+ disposals
  • Leg 4: D. Moore 2+ goals

Suggested Bet:

Total odds at $10.00
