Le Melody $2.30

Le Melody can finish the day on a winning note for favourite punters!

The Your Song mare will appreciate the significant drop in grade, and she meets easier opposition.

Her fresh win was sensational at Muswellbrook, and she was game in defeat at Scone at her latest outing.

From barrier ten, she will cross and lead, and I suspect she will be too zippy over the 1000m for her rivals.

She has been well supported since markets opened, and I expect the money to continue until the barriers open.

Hard to toss!

Hard To Say will have support after producing impressive barrier trials.

The Exceed And Excel gelding is proven at the distance, and he traditionally performs well first-up.

The awkward barrier and rise in class are his most significant obstacles.

Magic Prophet $4.20

Magic Prophet is knocking on the door!

The Divine Prophet gelding has threatened in all starts this campaign, and I suspect his next win is just around the corner.

From barrier five, he can camp on the leader’s back, and if he finds fresh air as they turn for home, he will be hard to hold out late.

The rising four-year-old is a rock-hard fit, and I expect a peak performance for the preparation is on the cards.

Contarelli will start favourite for his new stable.

His best form reads exceptionally well for this event, and the drop back to 1400m could prove a masterstroke.

The Caravaggio gelding finds a winnable assignment, and I suspect the camp will have him cherry ripe for a first-up tilt.

Jumping from a different suburb is the biggest deterrent.

Best Roughie - Tamworth Race 5

Akauwheo $11.00/$3.50

Akauwheo can bounce back after a luckless campaign to date.

The Ribchester filly has been checked at a crucial stage in several races this preparation, and I suspect the owners are hoping for a change in fortune.

From barrier five, she can push forward and control the tempo, and if she catches her rivals napping during the middle stages of the race, she can pinch a winning break.

The Kris Lees factor must be respected.

Yirrkala is knocking on the door!

The Stratum Star filly hasn’t missed the top four placing all campaign, and her next win is just around the corner.

From barrier ten, she can sit outside the leader, and she doesn’t spend her pennies too early, she can fight out the finish.

Her recent winning record is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Q

$112 for 100%

Yirrkala and Akauwheo can get our quaddie off to a winning start.

Both will push forward in the run, and I expect them to fight out the finish.

Norman, Torowoto, Aesthete, and Bill Peyto will fight out the sixth event on the program, while it’s a field job in the penultimate event.

Our best bet Le Melody can finish our day with a bang!
