Best Bet - Randwick Race 8

1

Conscript $11.00

Conscript can bounce back after a luckless run behind the talented Spacewalk.

The Time For War gelding was inconvenienced at a critical stage of the race, and he arguably should have figured in the finish.

The rising six-year-old will appreciate the significant drop in class, and he is an 1100m specialist.

He can make amends on Saturday with a change of fortune and a well-timed run.

He needs to beat the handicapper and allocated weight!

Insurrection will start a short-priced favourite after producing a stunning campaign to date.

The Russian Revolution gelding is chasing a hat trick, and he looks well-placed meeting similar opposition.

The apprentice claim is advantageous, and the big boy will lead the field into the home straight.

The awkward barrier, and the length of his preparation, are among the primary concerns.

Stonecoat $5.00

Stonecoat is flying this campaign.

The Pierro gelding was a brilliant winner fresh, and he was game in defeat at his latest outing.

He is a winner third-up previously, and the mile is advantageous at this stage of his preparation.

From barrier seven, he will roll forward and take bad luck out of the equation, and if he can stack up the field on straightening, he can kick away and win.

The class rise is his biggest challenge.

Tazaral will have supporters after producing an impressive first-up victory.

The Fastnet Rock gelding has an exceptional second-up record, and he traditionally races well at Randwick.

The Snowden polish must be respected, and there has been a flood of early money for the talented five-year-old.

This is his acid test!

One Aye $13.00/$3.70

One Aye is an honest and genuine competitor.

The rock-hard fit mare is having an ultra-consistent campaign, and she looks well placed stepping out in distance on Saturday.

She can sit in the box seat from the middle gate, and if she sees daylight at the pointy end of the race, she can figure in the finish.

The 54kg brings her into all winning conversations, and with even luck in transit, her first victory at Randwick can occur this Saturday!

Her recent winning record is the primary concern.

Decadent Tale looks poised to strike.

The Kermadec mare has been crying out for the 1800m all preparation, and she should be rock-hard fit at this stage of her campaign.

She can sit midfield with some cover from the ideal inside barrier, and if Zac Lloyd can angle her off the rail at the right time, she can win.

The time spent out of the winner’s circle is the biggest deterrent.

QUADDIE

Q

$78 for 100%

Mogo Magic looks to have the opening leg of the quaddie at his mercy!

The Duporth gelding is building an impressive career record, and he looks well-placed to continue on his winning ways on Saturday.

Conscript, Deepour, and Insurrection can battle out the eighth event on the program, while Stonecoat and Tazaral look to have the penultimate event between them.

It’s a field job in the last!
