Field Of Flutes $6.50

Field Of Flutes is racing in great spirit!

The Deep Field gelding hasn’t missed the trifecta this preparation, and his best form reads incredibly well for this event.

He will appreciate the drier track conditions, and from the middle gate, I expect him to roll forward and dictate the tempo.

The apprentice claim puts one hoof on the till, and if he doesn’t over race during the early stages, I expect him to win.

Epic Centre will have supporters after a consistent campaign.

The Starspangledbanner gelding doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he will appreciate the significate drop in class.

The Clayton Douglas camp are training winners for fun, and there has been a flood of money for the rising four-year-old in early betting.

The wide barrier may decide his fate early.

Stay In Touch $10.00/$3.20

Stay In Touch was an impressive last-start winner at Mornington.

The Night Of Thunder mare showed a blistering turn of foot, and she broke every clock on course with her late sectionals.

The inside draw is advantageous, and the 2kg apprentice claim gives her the upper hand over her rivals.

The rising six-year-old is a 1000m specialist, and her versatility must be respected.

I expect her to figure in the finish with even luck in transit.

Neverstandingstill is the class runner of the field.

The Starcraft mare resumes after several eye-catching barrier trials, and I won’t be surprised if she puts this field away on straightening.

This is her easiest assignment for some time, and if she is fully wound up for a first-up tilt, she will be hard to hold out.

Her fresh record and allocated weight are among the primary concerns.

Best Roughie - Sandown Race 4

5

Eco Warrior $20.00/$5.00

Eco Warrior is over the odds.

The Dundeel gelding caught the eye of punters fresh, and the step out in distance on Wednesday looks ideal second-up from a spell.

From barrier nine, he will drift back to find his feet, and if he can manage to stay in touch with the leaders during the race’s middle stages, I expect him to figure in the shadows.

The length of time between victories is a worry.

Arnold is building towards his next win.

The Hinchinbrook gelding was good through the line at his latest outing, and he looks well-placed meeting easier opposition.

From barrier six, he can sit midfield with cover, and if he is presented with his run at the right time, I expect him to figure in the finish.

His second-up record is faultless, and the Maher and Eustace polish must be respected.

His recent winning record is the biggest deterrent.

QUADDIE

Q

$56 for 100%

Our best bet, Field Of Flutes, can get our quaddie off to a winning start.

He is racing exceptionally well and finds a winnable event on Wednesday.

Neverstandingstill and Stay In Touch look to have the second leg between them, while it’s a field job in the penultimate event.

Flossing and The Nephew will be prominent in the day’s final race.

Best of luck!
