Manchester City vs. Arsenal
5am, Thursday
Tomorrow’s blockbuster clash between Manchester City and Arsenal could go a long way to deciding this year’s Premier League title when the top two sides meet at Etihad Stadium.
Arsenal, who sit five points clear of City, will need to recapture their winning form after putting together three consecutive draws against Southampton, West Ham, and Liverpool. However, history is not on the Gunners’ side, having lost their last 11 Premier League games against City.
For this reason, City are $1.44 favourites, with their record under Pep Guardiola 6-0 and by an aggregate score of 17-3. Currently, on a six-game winning streak in the Premier League, City boast the league leaders in all major categories, including Erling Haaland (32 goals), Kevin de Bruyne (15 assists) and Rodri (2,560 passes).
While City defender Nathan Ake is set to miss with an ongoing hamstring injury, City should have too much firepower in front of the home crowd.
Everton vs. Newcastle
4.45am, Friday
Newcastle will head into their match-up against Everton as firm favourites, currently quoted at $1.67 with Bet Nation.
The Magpies, who are third in the standings and 15 spots above the embattled Toffees, have won six of their past seven EPL games, including a 6-1 demolition of Tottenham on Sunday. Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak both scored doubles as Newcastle piled on five goals in the first 21 minutes of the game.
On the other hand, Everton are currently lingering in the relegation zone, needing to win to elevate themselves above Leicester City and Leeds. Their last victory came against Brentford on March 12, and with just one win against Newcastle from their past six attempts, it seems a bridge too far for Sean Dyche and his men.
Tottenham vs. Manchester United
5.15am, Friday
Capping off a sensational round of EPL action, Tottenham will be looking to bounce back from a humiliating loss when they host Manchester United on Friday morning.
The Spurs were handed a 6-1 thumping from Newcastle on Sunday, with Harry Kane, the only player to find the back of the net. It was their second loss in a row which clearly doesn’t bode well for a side that has lost its past four EPL games against United.
The fourth-placed Red Devils have found form of late, with consecutive wins against Nottingham Forest, Everton, and Brentford. United will be sweating on the fitness of Bruno Fernandes after injuring his ankle in their FA Cup semi-final against Brighton.
With an EPL record of 39 wins over the Spurs in their history, it’s hard to see the in-form United faltering in this one.
