Sandown February 11th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Sandown Race 7

10

Jacquinot $3.40

Jacquinot is one of the most promising gallopers in the country.

He is perfectly placed here under weight for age conditions, and I expect him to figure in the finish.

1400m looks ideal second up, and he was ultra-impressive fresh at this track over an unsuitable distance.

He has been well-backed since markets opened, and I expect him to springboard to another level in this preparation.

Gentleman Roy will lead them a merry dance on top of the speed.

He was a brilliant winner fresh, and his second-up record must be respected.

He loves Sandown, and I expect him to be in this for a long way.

Tuvalu must be included in all winning conversations.

He is a fighter and will dig deep when the post is approaching.

Wahine Toa $8.00

You can’t beat a mare in form!

Wahine Toa is enjoying her racing and has yet to finish this campaign outside the quinella.

Her win last start was dominant, and she can turn the tables on So Unusual here.

The wide barrier is the primary concern.

So Unusual will start favourite after narrowly beating Wahine Toa last start.

He has trialled well since the victory and meets Wahine Toa better off at the weights.

I wonder if he can produce another peak run.

Glentaneous can run well at a decent quote.

He had the run of the race at The Valley before being hampered at a crucial stage.

The Gleneagles gelding can bounce back with the right run in transit.

Best Roughie - Sandown Race 4

Exploring $17/$4.40

Charm Stone will start one of the shortest-priced favourites of the meeting.

Her jumpout leading into this was professional as they come, and she has plenty of upside.

The I Am Invincible filly was dominant in a Group 3 event at Flemington before heading to the spelling paddock.

Being unproven at the distance is my only concern.

I am happy to have a throw at the stumps with Exploring.

She was narrowly beaten last start despite being green as grass.

The Brazen Beau filly resembled a shopping trolley on straightening, and she covered unnecessary ground.

She strips fitter here and can salute the judge at a reasonable price.

QUADDIE

Q

$98 for 100%

Uncommon James is our standout selection in the first leg of the quaddie.

He has unlimited ability, and I expect him to have a breakthrough preparation.

Our best bet, Jacquinot could cannonball to a scary level this campaign, and he may decide our quaddie fate in the second leg.

I expect him to win several Group 1 events this preparation.

We have gone extremely wide in the third and fourth legs looking for some value.

Best of luck!
