NRL Round 25, Tips and Previews

Raiders vs. Roostesr

September 2nd

It is all on Canberra when it faces Sydney on Thursday night.

The Raiders know a win will keep them within a glimmer of hope for a chance at finals, whereas a loss will finish their season off.

With the Roosters guaranteed a place in the top eight, it is now up to them where they finish on the table.

A home final on offer might just be enough to spur James Tedesco and his troops to a big win.

SUGGESTED BET:

Roosters -7.5 at $1.90

Sharks vs. Storm

September 3rd

Melbourne can cap itself off as the best team for the home and away season with a victory over Cronulla on Friday night.

This game will not come easy to Melbourne with a Sharks side keen to lock away victory in order to guarantee itself a finals berth.

The Storm will be without star winger and runner Josh Addo-Carr who succumbed to a hamstring injury in the loss to Parramatta last week.

Regardless of his omission, the Storm has always found a way to push back in the face of adversity this season.

SUGGESTED BET:

Storm -11.5 at $1.90

Eels vs. Panthers

September 3rd

There seems to be a sense of timing about the Panthers as they hit form just before the finals commence.

The Eels will attempt to spoil the party this weekend after a big upset victory over Melbourne last week brought to an end the Storm’s incredible winning streak of 18 games.

Not sure if the Eels can reproduce what they did against a Panthers team keen to let the Storm know they mean business again this year.

SUGGESTED BET:

Panthers -24.5 at $1.90

Broncos vs. Knights

September 4th

Finals are already booked for Newcastle regardless of its result against Brisbane come Saturday afternoon at Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos are simply playing for pride in this game and will end up finishing second last which is actually an improvement from the wooden spoon.

The Knights will surely want hit the finals with some winning momentum, but it might be the perfect opportunity to rest their stars in order to stay fresh for week one of finals.

Broncos can cover the line.

SUGGESTED BET:

Broncos +2.5 at $1.90

Cowboys vs. Sea Eagles

September 4th

Manly continues its sneaky into the top four when it faces the struggling Cowboys.

Tom Trbojevic has been spectacular for the Sea Eagles this year, but his fame might have been overshadowed by Reuben Garrick who, like Turbo Tom, has been an integral part of this Manly premiership push.

North Queensland, meanwhile, has had a year to forget with injuries and poor form combining to have them sitting in the bottom half of the table.

Sea Eagles in a canter.

SUGGESTED BET:

Sea Eagles -22.5 at $1.90

Rabbitohs vs. Dragons

September 4th

The Rabbitohs will prepare for its all but likely clash with Penrith in the first week of finals when it faces St George on Saturday night.

It will be intriguing to see if Craig Bennett keeps his star players like Alex Johnston and Latrell Mitchell fresh for their first game of the finals or if they decide to resting is the best option.

The Dragons were on the precipice of making finals at the half way mark of the season but have since dropped right off the boil.

South Sydney are in cracking form at the moment after sending their Roosters rivals packing with a huge 54-12 result last week.

SUGGESTED BET:

Rabbitohs -2.5 at $1.90
