Sassy Choice $3.9

Sassy Choice looks ready to run a nice race on debut at her home track.

She has had two jumpouts on the Ballarat synthetic track in order to get her raring to go for this 1200-metre maiden.

The first of those was an 850-metre effort where she showed nice speed and a good turn of foot.

In her second jumpout, she was put under the pump to respond and did so accordingly but was run down on the line.

She proved she can handle the synthetic surface and fully expecting her to show good improvement from those two efforts and be hard to beat.

Chawinda $3.4

Chawinda was unfortunate to strike a heavy track when dropping back in grade.

The four-year-old mare had run in BM-64 at her three starts prior to her failure on the very wet Wangaratta in BM-58 class over 1170 metres.

There is a slight query on how adept she is at handling the synthetic track given she has never raced on the surface.

However, she will not have to dig her toe into wet turf and will race on top of the ground which will suit her much better than the bottomless pit she was on three weeks ago.

Best Roughie - Race 6

Rye Dee Oh $13/$3

Rye Dee Oh got involved in a race last start that was run at a ridiculous tempo and it saw this six-year-old mare settle way too far back.

She had to make up anywhere between 10 to 12 lengths in the run was doing a good job to hit the line from so far back.

The last bit of her race was what impressed the most and this BM-58 affair there looks to be much less early speed.

That should see her settle closer to the lead and she can use her finishing burst to run over the top.
