The four-year-old mare settled nearly 14 lengths away from the tearaway leaders out the rear half of the field and rocketed home to finish third.
She was only beaten a narrow margin and with a more positive ride would have probably won the race by a space.
Senior jockey Craig Newitt has been booked to replace apprentice Carleen Hefel.
This mare will not be out the back as she was a fortnight ago.

Banquo loomed up ominously to win the All Victorian Sprint up the straight last start but just got worried out of it by in-form galloper The Astrologist.
He did race on a soft six track, which on his form guide suggests is not his go, and he gets a much more favourable surface this weekend.
The big sign here of Damian Lane opting to stick with the horse as well as the blinkers being attached.
Lane has the soft hands and balance required to get his horse settled and hopefully in front at the finish post.

Shadow Hawk
Shadow Hawk looks a real improver off his Warracknabeal victory on July 18.
He was eye-balling with odds-on favourite for the majority of that 1200-metre race but kept kicking strongly on the rail to score by a long neck.
The three-year-old colt was still travelling strongly through the line after the post to suggest the rise to 1400 metres will be no issues whatsoever.
The blinkers are applied for the first time and he can run a cheeky race at massive odds.
