Port vs. Pies
July 23rd
There has been no fervour with the jumper clash this time as we lead into this clash between Port Adelaide and Collingwood.
The new found 2021 rivalry between the two teams ignited when opposing presidents and clubs clashed over what jumpers each team would wear against each other but with all that aisde, Port look to look their spot in the top four.
Collingwood has an uphill battle in this game after a big final quarter fadeout against the Blues saw it go down by 29 points.
SUGGESTED BET:
Port -21.5 at $1.90
- Suggested Same Game Multi:
- Leg 1: Port -21.5
- Leg 2: Total Points Under 148.5
- Leg 3: C. Dixon two or more goals
- Combined odds = $3.80
Blues vs. Roos
July 24th
The light still flickers on Carlton’s finals chances when it looks to make consecutive wins in a clash with North Melbourne.
Four final quarter goals to Harry McKay helped seal a 29-point win over arch-nemesis Collingwood, while the North Melbourne pushed Essendon all the way but would ultimately go down by three goals.
McKay and his twin brother Ben will battle it out for the first time in their AFL careers.
Patrick Cripps will likely return for Carlton as will Ben Cunnington for North Melbourne.
SUGGESTED BET:
Roos +13.5 at $1.90
Lions vs. Suns
July 24th
Brisbane enters The Q Clash against Gold Coast in desperate need of a form reversal after shock losses to St Kilda and Richmond.
The Lions dropped out of the top four last week after being handed a 20-point defeat by the reigning premier Richmond.
Stuart Dew gets his chance to get one back on the Lions after running Western Bulldogs to within 11 points last week. Despite the loss, the Suns showed their competitiveness against a genuine premiership contender.
SUGGESTED BET:
Suns +27.5 at $1.90
Eagles vs. Saints
July 24th
Some sort of respect was levelled back towards West Coast ahead of its clash with St Kilda this weekend.
The Eagles battered Adelaide by 42 points at Adelaide Oval with Jamie Cripps putting on a show scoring five goals and racking up 25 touches in what was a career best performance from a statistical point of view.
St Kilda will prove a tough challenge given its bounce back into form over the last month, but Optus Stadium provide West Coast with the edge.
SUGGESTED BET:
Eagles -14.5 at $1.90
Crows vs. Hawks
July 24th
It is a home game away from home for Adelaide when it faces Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.
The Crows had their match shifted away from Adelaide Oval and now face a Hawks team coming off an impressive 79-79 draw against the high-flying Demons.
Adelaide has been the better team this year despite coming into this match on the back of a 42-point loss to West Coast.
Crows look the value at the line.
SUGGESTED BET:
Crows +9.5 at $1.90
The battle for top and premiership favouritism takes another step when Melbourne and Western Bulldogs go at it on Saturday night.
Melbourne already has the wood over the Doggies this year thanks to a slick victory at Marvel Stadium in front of empty stands.
Interestingly, both teams do not hit this game in the best of form with the Dogs limping over the line against Gold Coast after defeat to Sydney, while the Demons were held to a 79-79 draw against Hawthorn.
Melbourne have the runs on the board but a slippery night at the MCG will take away its most vital asset; intercept marking.
Bulldogs the value here.
SUGGESTED BET:
Bulldogs head to head at $1.97
The red and white loyal sons and a purple haze descend upon Metricon Stadium when both Sydney and Fremantle head north for this Round 19 clash.
Both teams boast two of the best young midfield brigades in the competition.
But it is the Swans who have been able to sustain the form with the likes of Errol Gulden, Oliver Florent, Nick Blakey and Justin McInerney proving their worth at the level.
The neutral venue might actually pose and advantage for Fremantle given the Swans poor record at Metricon of late.
Fremantle did knock off the Swans earlier this year, so they do look a pretty good bet at the head to head.
SUGGESTED BET:
Dockers head to head at $3.70
Reigning premier Richmond is in a battle of attrition to keep its season alive when it faces the in-form Geelong on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers put a poor month of form behind them to score a 20-point victory over Brisbane in Jack Riewoldt’s 300th game last week.
The veteran forward found a purple patch of form bagging six goals in the win, while Geelong tonked Fremantle out of Optus Stadium with a 69-point thumping.
The Cats have the 2021 edge Richmond after belting them earlier this season by 10 goals and there is nothing to suggest the result will change, only that the margin might be a bit less.
SUGGESTED BET:
Geelong -16.5 at $1.90
Essendon will have Round 8 on its mind when it faces GWS Giants con Sunday.
The Bombers were left rueing a handful of umpiring decisions which did not go their way in the 16.11.107 to 16.9.105 loss against the Giants at GIANTS Stadium.
Since then, Essendon sit inside the eight knowing a win will keep them there for at least another week.
Expecting a big statement from the Bombers here.
Zach Merrett and Darcy Parish were enormous in Round 8 and they will lead the line again.
