Maoiri $10/$3.3

Maiori has had two Cranbourne jumpouts to get her motor ready for a debut run at her home track.

She showed good early toe in both her pipe-openers one of which was over 850 metres against the very smart Jigsaw and the most recent being over 800 metres which she won by a narrow margin.

She was not asked to do much at either jumpout which is a sign she has plenty left under the hood for this 1000-metre sprint.

Barrier three poses the perfect opportunity to either lead or take the sit off the rail which is exactly where you need to be at Cranbourne to take full advantage of the tight-turning circuit.

Optimizzer $4.2

Optimizzer ran well when resuming from a spell at Mornington last start in a 1200 metre where he was caught wide the whole way.

The effort was brave considering he had to cut the breeze the whole way and now he goes up to 1300 metres where he has a solid rating at the track and distance.

Expect him to settle on-pace with some cover from barrier four and with an easy run in transit he should be going very close in this.

Rudimental $34/$8

Rudimental was thrashed upon resuming at Sandown Hillside on July 7 over 1600 metres at BM-70 level when having to lug 60.5kgs.

He settled midfield and was well beaten by the 250-metre mark, but it was good enough return to suggest he can run much better with a rise in distance.

His effort second-up last preparation was actually better than it reads on paper after drawing out wide and settling a mile back off the leaders and only managing to finish six lengths away in BM-78 grade over 2000 metres at Caulfield.

The Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained stayer now find himself having drawn a much better barrier second-up this time and can settle handy to the speed and get himself within striking distance on the home corner.

Quaddie

A head scratcher of a quaddie! These exotics at Cranbourne are always tough to sort out. Momentum around the track is critical and with full fields in most races, it makes this quaddie difficult.

Going outlay a bit more to account for the amount of runners we have included.
