NRL Round 14, Tips and Previews

Sea Eagles v Cowboys

June 11th

The Manly Sea Eagles will kick off the round, hosting North Queensland Cowboys at Brookvale.

The Sea Eagles are coming off a heart breaking defeat to the Newcastle Knights and will be looking to make amends for their weak performance. In recent years Manly have played well against the Cowboys. They will be firm favourites for this match and the line of -4.5 should be pumped in.

Meanwhile, North Queensland have really struggled on the road against sides. They have only won once on the road all season. Overall, the Sea Eagles should take their home ground advantage and smash the Cowboys.

Tipping Manly by 16 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Sea Eagles -4.5 @ $1.90

Sharks v Panthers

June 11 th

The ladder leading Panthers look to inflict pain on the Cronulla Sharks, as they travel to Jubilee Stadium.

Penrith are currently on a 12-game winning streak with stars Nathan Cleary and Brian To’o set to play in the game return from Origin duty, making the task even more daunting.

An earlier bout between these two Sydney squads wasn’t pretty, with Penrith winning 48-0 against an embarrassed Sharks. We could be in for a similar display Friday night. However the punters see it differently as the line is only -9.5.

Even if the Panthers aren’t at full strength this has been a forgettable season for the Sharks and there’s no reason to assume they will be picking it up this week.

SUGGESTED BET:

Panthers -9.5 @ $1.90

Titans v Roosters

June 12th

This could turn into a nightmare for Titans Coach, Justin Holbrook. The Titans have been out of form, evidenced by their beating at the hands of the Melbourne Storm and lowly ladder position.

It doesn’t get any easier this week against a red-hot Roosters outfit, who smashed the Raiders a fortnight ago 44-16. Coach Trent Robinson seems to understand his playing group’s strengths, having beaten the Titans 6 times by double digit margins.

This looks like it’s going to be a long night for Titans fans. The Roosters are charging and should easily cover the line of -9.5. The Chooks hardly ever disappoint favourite punters!

SUGGESTED BET:

Roosters -9.5 @ $1.90

Rabbitohs v Knights

June 12th

The Rabbitohs looked in good touch a fortnight ago, beating the Eels 38-20 at home. The Hooker Damien Cook and Centre Dane Gagai, have been in red hot form-scoring at will in that game a fortnight ago. They now look set to face Newcastle Knights, who are coming off a great victory against Manly last weekend. The party looks like it will end here.

As the Rabbitohs hold the form against the Knights, winning 8 out of their last 9 times. We are predicting they hold the form and make it 9/10.South Tipping Rabbitohs by 22 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Rabbitohs-15.5 @ $1.90

Raiders v Broncos

June 12th

Brisbane Broncos, a team really struggling that are low in confidence. They are second last on the Ladder, and will be making a tough trip to Gio Stadium to take on a strong Canberra Raiders outfit. Unfortunately, Broncos gives their fans very little to cheer about and the home side Raiders should take these kids to school and give them a lesson on the park.

With the Raiders well rested and ready to roar, this looks like an ideal game to boost their percentage and get them back on track. Tipping Canberra Raiders by 18 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Raiders -9.5 @ $1.89

Bankwest Stadium has been a nightmare for travelling teams. The Parramatta Eels will be looking to build on an impressive victory of Newcastle Knights 40-4. The Eels are on a 6-game winning streak and will be looking to destroy a not very talented Tigers outfit. They have been high scoring and great to watch this season.

Sorry to be blunt, Tigers lack class around the park and with the high scoring Eels at home their defensive ends are going to be under pressure all game. They are going be run off their feet all night defending. We can’t really see a way for the Tigers to be competitive in this one. Tipping Parramatta Eelsby 34 points in a whitewash
