AFL Round 13, Tips and Previews

Power v Cats

June 10th

After both teams having a week, off to rest and heal their injury woe’s. There should be no excuses come game day. The Power will host the Cats Thursday night is a blockbuster showdown to kick off the round both these clubs have been in fine form. The last time they played the Power beat the Cats by 16 points 58-42 at home.Cats Superstar, Patrick Dangerfield looks set to return for the top of the table showdown.

The Power will be hoping key forward, Charlie “The Big Man” Dixon can fire up front with the key forward struggling for goals in recent weeks, He looks set to turn it around. On the other end Tom Hawkins, Gary Rohan and Jeremy Cameron will spearhead the Cats in attack and should all hit the scoreboard. This should be a very close game with momentum bound to swing both teams’ way at different stages of the game. I am tipping Cats to win by 1 point

SUGGESTED BET:

Cats Win @ $2.10

Swans v Hawks

June 11th

Ooh Buddy! Lance “Buddy” Franklin looks set to host his former club at the SCG. Lance would be licking his lips at the chance to score a big bag against his former club. The Hawks have been on a rebuild this season and been struggling to run out games. Meanwhile, Sydney Swans look destined to run over the top of them and bully their co rivals around the park. Their midfield duo of Luke Parker and Callum Mills should shine bright and smash the Hawks youngsters.

The Swans midfield did the job against St Kilda last week it wasn’t pretty, but they held on for a 9-point win in a close in counter. The Hawks will be no match for a classy Swans outfit, and i am predicting the Swans win by 55 points in this one. The Swans should cover the line quite comfortably.

SUGGESTED BET:

Swans -32.5 @ $1.90

Dockers v Suns

June 12th

Superstar Rowell is back in business baby! Fremantle looks set to host the Suns at Optus Stadium in a Saturday afternoon time slot. The Suns have lost 15 out of their last 16 interstate matches. Though the Dockers are decimated with injuries losing Brendan Cox to a bad hamstring injury last week. This should be a very close match with us heading towards the home side Freo based on previous form. It should be an arm wrestle from the first bounce to the last. I am tipping the Dockers by 8 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Dockers Win @ $1.90

Saints v Crows

June 12th

Jack “Missy” Higgins 1.6 last week was an absolute disaster against the Swans losing by 9 points. The Saints are in big trouble with injuries struggling to make the game with 25 fit players on the current list. Meanwhile, The Crows have been out of form losing 4 out of the last 5 games and falling 5 points short to the Pies last week at home. It is very hard to trust either team, but we are giving the Saints one final chance here.

Our boy “Missy” Higgins to turn it around and kick a bag of 2 goals against the Crows outfit. Tipping the Saints by 4 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Saints @ $1.88

Kangaroos v Giants

June 13th

If the Giants can’t win this game, then microwave your membership Western Sydney fans! North Melbourne has lost 18 of its last 19 matches and look set for the wooden spoon. After getting beat by 64 points against the Lions, The Giants should be hungry and seek revenge against a struggling club. Even though it is away from home there is zero excuses as to why the Giants shouldn’t belt them here in Bludstone Arena Hobart. We are going to keep this very simple Giants 40+ in this game.

SUGGESTED BET:

Giants -25.5 @ $1.90

Eagles v Tigers

June 13th

An injury rattled Eagles outfit looks set to host, The Champion Tigers at Optus Stadium. The Tigers went on a mental 10-minute burst against the Bombers last week scoring 6 quick goals to kill off any hope they had and won by 39 points at Optus Stadium.Behind, Star Dustin Martin who was absolutely delightful booting 3 goals and having 27 touches. I am expecting him to give a few “don’t argues” to the Eagles midfielders and for the Tigers to get the job done away from home.  Tipping Tigers by 22 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Tigers @ $1.70

June 14th

Goodbye old friend, Goodbye Nathan Buckley! It was a sad day mid-week for the Collingwood football club as long-time coach Nathan Buckley stepped down from the head role. The players should put in a tough performance to send off their long-time hero and coach.

The Demons should be too strong around the park with Stephen May controlling the backline too perfection. I am going to keep this simple, Collingwood are going to fight like they did against Port and against the Crows, take Collingwood at the + line of 28.5 points.

SUGGESTED BET:

Pies +28.5 @ $1.90
