Given Carlton’s past month, it’s of little surprise they’re $2 outsiders against a Western Bulldogs outfit that is just one spot above them on the ladder.
Their poor run of form culminated in a 26-point loss to Brisbane at Marvel, but let’s not forget that it all clicked against the embattled Eagles just one week earlier. And that resulted in a 108-point victory.
The Dogs continued to do what they needed to do with a third straight win but will be without Adam Treloar and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan against the Blues.
If Carlton can bounce back and find a shred of their previous form, $2 is the juiciest head-to-head offer this weekend.

There was a blackout at the Gabba earlier this season, but we’re expecting a shootout this time around.
The third-highest-scoring Lions will host the fourth-highest-scoring Bombers on Saturday night, with the home side aiming for six wins on the trot. They’ve averaged 108 points in their three games at home this year.
While sitting outside the eight, the Bombers have not struggled to score since their three-game losing streak started, and if they can get close to the 104 they put up against the Cats, the 183.5 will be eclipsed with relative ease.

They’ve shown glimpses of the Swans of old over the past two weeks but ultimately fell short against the Giants (one point) and Magpies (29) after having chances to salute in both games.
The Dockers made light work of the Hawks at Optus Stadium but will need to go to another level if they’re any chance of leaving Sydney with a win.
