Caulfield December 20th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Caulfield Race 7

1

Job Done $1.95

Job Done was a dominant last-start winner at the track.

The Snitzel gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home, and I suspect he can continue on his winning ways on Saturday.

The step out in trip suits, and the middle gate provides Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Jamie Melham multiple options in transit.

The grandstand weight is the primary concern.

Miss Ole resumes after a near-perfect debut preparation.

The Ole Kirk filly rubbed shoulders with some serious gallopers early doors, and the form around her has stood up time and again.

The 2kg apprentice claim brings her into all winning conversations, and she finds her pet distance fresh.

Acid test!

Unit Five $3.00

Unit Five was ultra-impressive at a recent jump-out at Cranbourne.

The Bivouac colt showed a good turn off foot, and I suspect he strips fitter as a result.

The money trail tells a story, and the Ciaron Maher factor must be taken into account.

Barrier one is advantageous, and I expect him to be cherry ripe for a first-up tilt.

It may pay dividends to watch for any further market support.

Guest House caught the eyes of punters at Caulfield in a hot barrier trial.

The $270,000 Home Affairs colt burnt the turf early, and he got the job done despite covering more ground than the early settlers throughout.

The wide gate may determine his fate during the early stages of the event.

Best Roughie - Caulfield Race 8

10

Recuperato $10.00/$3.00

Recuperato is over the odds.

Both performances this campaign have been good without winning, and I suspect she is trained to the minute for her third-up assignment.

The key appointment of Craig Williams should raise eyebrows, and she appears extremely well-placed in this company.

She traditionally performs well at this stage of her campaign, and her opening quote has been well supported.

Major player!

Stay Focused will have plenty of supporters after a consistent campaign to date.

The Cosmic Force gelding is the class runner, and I suspect he will appreciate the significant drop-in class.

The middle draw is advantageous, and the camp are training winners for fun at present.

The big boy is edging closer to his next victory; however, he tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

QUADDIE

Q

$80 for 100%

Job Done looks the best bet on a tough and tricky program.

The flashy three-year-old was an impressive last-start victor, and he may determine our quaddie hopes and dreams in the opening-leg.

We have a handful of gallopers flying the flag in the Magic Millions 3yo and 4yo Classic, while it’s a field job in the penultimate event on the program.

Gracie’s Rain and Flyer will battle it out in the lucky last!
