Best Bet - Flemington Race 7

Observer $2.20

Observer bolted in at Moonee Valley in the Group 2 Vase.

The Ghaiyyath colt led his rivals a merry dance throughout, and the result was never in doubt.

The valuable colt was eased down on straightening, and he put the writing on the wall for a big Derby performance.

The quick back-up plays into his favour, and the 2500m looks ideal at this stage of his campaign.

His versatility is exceptional, and I suspect he is ready to explode on the big stage on Saturday.

Hard to toss with even luck in-transit.

Providence was good without threatening behind the favourite at his latest outing.

The race was well and truly over, however; the big boy hit the line from a minute back.

His late sectionals were sizzling, and he strips fitter as a result.

The longer suits, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for his Group 1 assignment.

The Chris Waller polish is significant, and I expect him to be finishing stronger than the majority of his opponents.

Big watch!

Tentyris $4.00

Tentyris looked like superman when winning the Gothic Stakes at Caulfield at his latest outing.

The Street Boss colt came home from an awkward spot on straightening, and he got the job done stylishly when he finally saw clear air.

He will take natural improvement from the eye-catching performance, and he is ready to peak third-up from a spell.

His fresh run at Flemington was a beauty despite visually needing the run, and I suspect this assignment has been the long-range target from the astute Freedman and Godolphin camps.

The inform Mark Zahra retains the ride, and I expect the big boy to jump race favourite with the tsunami of early money.

The one to beat!

Beadman was a hard watch for supporters at his latest outing.

The Snitzel colt saw daylight when it was too late, and he still had the audacity to nearly snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

The precocious three-year-old is a 1200m specialist, and I suspect he is ready to produce the race of his life third-up from a spell.

The camp are training winners for fun at present, and the addition of Blake Shinn could prove decisive.

Major threat.

Abounding $14.00/$4.00

Abounding is over the odds.

The Rich Enuff mare is a model of consistency, and she was finally rewarded for her effort at her latest outing.

She was a good thing licked at The Valley two starts back, and the form around her this campaign is elite.

I suspect she is rock-hard fit after a lengthy and fruitful campaign, and I expect her to be cherry ripe for her grand final on Saturday.

The perfect inside draw is advantageous, and the key appointment of Jamie Melham should raise eyebrows.

Hard to toss!

Fangirl was sound at her latest outing.

She beat the inform Lindermann two-starts back on the wire, and she looks well placed in this company.

Her record at the trip is outrageous, and she always performs well at Flemington.

The Sebring mare is the class runner of the field, and she has been heavily supported since acceptances.

Her racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.

QUADDIE

Q

$90 for 25%

Tentyris has one hoof on the till in the Coolmore Stud Stakes.

His last-start victory at Caulfield was first-class, and he has a sense of timing about him.

Beiwacht and Beadman gain a gurnsey for quaddie insurance purposes, however; they could be racing for the minor end of the prize.

Observer will be hard to toss in a skinny edition of the Victoria Derby, while Miewa, Options, and Providence, can all captialise if the favourite has an off-day.

We have a handful of selections flying the flag in a tricky edition of the Empire Rose, while the Kirin Ichiban Sprint is wider open than a tina of tuna.

Best of luck!
