Treasurethe Moment $1.80

Treasurethe Moment can bounce back after having her colours lowered in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes at Moonee Valley.

The Alabama Express mare was visually fresh, and she felt the pinch late after doing all the donkey work behind the tearaway Pride Of Jenni.

Her performance fresh in the Group 1 Memsie was first-class, and her form prior was near faultless.

She is the one to beat if she has fully recovered from her mild colic setback.

Buckaroo is flying.

His performance caught the eyes of punters first-up, and he was only narrowly beaten by the Melbourne Cup favourite Sir Delius in the Group 1 Underwood at his latest outing.

The small field helps his chances, and I suspect he is ready to peak over a more suitable distance on Saturday.

He will be there at the pointy end of the contest.

Lazzura $6.00

Lazzura has been ultra-impressive this campaign.

The Snitzel mare remains undefeated, and I suspect she is ready to produce the race of her lifetime on Saturday.

The middle gate is ideal, and I suspect the combination of Chris Waller and James McDonald will attract plenty of late market support.

Her versatility alone puts her into all winning conversations, and the current track conditions play into her favour.

The 56kg looks luxurious, and she gets her best chance to taste Group 1 glory on Saturday.

Her record at the mile is the primary concern.

Sepals has gone to another level this preparation.

The one-time Australian Guineas favourite romped in fresh, and his second-up victory in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke was simply breathtaking.

The significant rise in weight is a knock, and I am unsure the progressive four-year-old can continue to produce career peaks.

He will be there when heads turn for home, however; the final furlong may be a nervous watch for his supporters.

Acid test!

Best Roughie - Caulfield Race 8

Vinrock $9.00/$3.00

Vinrock was stiff at his latest outing.

The I Am Invincible Colt was tardy away, and he was unfortunately never a realistic winning chance.

The big boy still savaged the line late from another suburb, and I suspect he is ready to peak over the mile.

Mark Zahra will roll forward from the carpark draw, and if he can find the bunny during the early stages of the race, I expect him to fight out the finish.

Major Player!

Wodeton is too consistent to pot.

The Wootton Bassett colt was super honest in a track record-breaking Golden Rose, and I suspect he has been waiting for the mile all preparation.

The form around him is elite, and he hasn’t put in a bad performance since the moon landing.

The valuable three-year-old should be rock-hard fit after a consistent campaign, and I suspect this is his spring grand final.

He tends to find or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

QUADDIE

$87.50 for 50%

Sepals and Lazzura are expected to battle it out in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap.

Both gallopers remain undefeated for their current preparations, and I suspect the market will continue to gravitate towards the talented duo before the barriers open.

Desert Lightning, Evaporate, and Feroce, all gain gurnseys for insurance purposes.

We have a handful of runners flying the flag in a tricky edition of the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, while we have gone extremely wide in the penultimate event on the program.

The classy Ameena will get the job done in the lucky last!
