Best Bet - Randwick Race 6

Apocalyptic $1.80

Apocalyptic has turned heads this campaign.

The Extreme Choice Filly couldn’t have been more impressive, and she put away a smart field at her latest outing.

She has been crying out for the mile all preparation and meets the usual characters on Saturday.

Her best performance here could turn into a procession, and I suspect her key rivals are racing for the minor end of the prize.

The one to beat!

Within The Law has been luckless this campaign.

The Lucky Vega filly has covered more ground than the early settlers in transit, and she finally draws a decent barrier.

The 1600m suits, and she strips fitter as a result of recent racing.

Her best form reads incredibly well for this event, and I suspect her camp are praying for a change in fortune.

Can threaten with the right run in-transit.

Soul Of Spain $5.00

Soul Of Spain is winning for fun at present!

The Phoenix Of Spain gelding is chasing four victories on the bounce, and his recent romp in the Newcastle Gold Cup was first-class.

The 50.5kg is a luxury, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his key rivals.

I suspect the lightly raced five-year-old still needs improvement for the campaign, and he will eat up every inch of the 2400m trip.

Hard to toss!

Vauban is the class runner of the field.

The two-time Melbourne Cup favourite has mixed his form this campaign, and he has been left flat-footed at the pointy end of his latest contests.

The step out in trip is advantageous, and his best performance here could prove to be fences and panels better than his opposition.

The grandstand weight and his inability to put another victory on the board are the biggest deterrents.

Acid test.

Willydoit $9.00/$3.00

Willydoit was good first-up with threatening.

The big boy drifted back from the wide gate, and he was never a realistic winning chance against the pattern.

His sizzling late sectionals scorched the turf, and he broke most oncourse clocks in the process.

The talented four-year-old is undefeated at the trip, and he is a winner second-up from a spell previously.

If he can camp closer to the speed from the perfect inside draw, he can run over the top of his rivals late.

Over the odds!

Autumn Glow is a star.

The progressive mare remains undefeated and deserves her shot at Group 1 glory on Saturday.

The mile looks ideal at this stage of her campaign, and I suspect this event has been a long-range target from the astute Chris Waller camp.

Her versatility alone puts her into all winning conversations and simply oozes class.

The step up in grade and the carpark draw are among the primary concerns.

QUADDIE

Q

$120 for 50%

It’s a very tricky edition of the Premiere Stakes to start the quaddie.

The three gallopers at the top of the market should fight out the finish, however; a blowout result wouldn’t surprise!

We have a handle of runners flying the flag in the Group 1 Epsom Handicap, while we have gone extremely wide in a super edition of the Group 1 Metropolitan.

Getafix and Kerguelen may determine our fate late in the day.

Best of luck!
