Angel Capital $2.50

Angel Capital resumes after a lengthy holiday and a stable change.

The one-time Australian Guineas favourite showed glimpses of his class during the early stages of the autumn, and if he is 100% sound on resumption, this event could be a mere formality.

The form around him has repeatedly stood up, and his recent barrier trials have been first-class.

The talented four-year-old has already tasted success at Moonee Valley, and his best performance here could produce a demolition job.

The one to beat!

Zou Sensation if flying at present.

The Zoustar gelding has put three wins together on the bounce, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his key rivals.

The inside draw is advantageous, and he has been heavily supported early doors.

The class rise and drop in trip are among the primary concerns.

Esha $5.50

Esha looks the real deal.

Both career performances have broken on-course clocks, and I suspect she has a fruitful and lengthy career in front of her.

She gains a gurnsey off the bench after key scratchings, and if she can reproduce her effortless and arrogant victory in her last start, she can taste Group 1 glory at her third career start.

Her recent barrier trial at Mornington was too quick to record, and most onlookers lost their wigs and monocles.

Acid test!

Baraqiel returned to racing in fine style with a gutsy victory at the track and distance.

The form out of the race has been franked already, and I suspect he will improve second-up after a long lay-off.

The Snitzel gelding possesses a significant turn of foot, and if he has been well supported in most all-in markets after his first-up heroics.

The awkward barrier draw is his biggest obstacle.

Princess Que $9.00/$3.00

Princess Que is winning for fun at present.

The Toronado mare has been ultra-impressive in both campaign victories, and I suspect the camp has some lofty spring goals.

On paper, she looks the likely leader with a clean break from the barriers, and she is a six-furlong specialist.

The big girl looks over the odds, and I expect her to give a good sight as the field motors past the school.

Taking on the more experienced and more credentialed gallopers is the primary concern.

King Zephyr will have plenty of supporters after producing a near-perfect campaign.

The Hallowed Crown gelding built a picket fence next to his name, and he became the punters’ pal during the autumn.

His recent trials oozed class, and if he is fully wound up for a first-up tilt, he can continue on his winning ways.

I’d prefer to support his case deeper into his campaign over further.

QUADDIE

$97.50 for 10%

We have gone extremely wide in a very competitive edition of the Atlantic Jewel Stakes.

Nothing would surprise here, and there is plenty of value on offer if you can find the winner.

Desert Lightning is the one to beat in the So You Think Stakes, while Attrition, Moira, Anisette, and Zardozi, all gain a gurnsey for quaddie insurance purposes.

A handful of selections may determine our fate in a cracking edition of the Group 1 Moir Stakes, while La Fracas, King Zephyr, and Princess Que, fly the flag in the lucky last.
