Via Sistina $2.70

Via Sistina is a marvel.

The defending W.S. Cox plate champion has produced breathtaking performances consistently over the last twelve-months, and I suspect she will continue on her winning way in what could be her final preparation.

Her strike rate first-up is exceptional, and she always performs well at the track.

I expect her to build a picket fence next to her name this campaign, and all going well, she will finish her career with another historical moment at Moonee Valley.

She will get the job done with a clear run in transit.

War Eternal can run a drum at a decent price.

The Pierro gelding was an impressive last-start winner, and he looks dangerous on the quick back-up.

The talented seven-year-old will get the conditions to suit, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his more experienced and credentialed opponents.

Acid test!

Autumn Glow $1.90

Autumn Glow is untapped.

The Autumn Sun mare has impressed racing enthusiasts and punters alike at each career start, and she is simply a Group 1 winner in waiting.

Her recent barrier trials have been mouthwatering, and if she is fully wound up for her fresh assignment, it could be a times-and-margins job!

The injuries and several setbacks she has experienced during her limited career are the primary concern.

Manaal resumes after a disappointing and luckless autumn preparation.

The Tassort mare consistently faced the breeze last campaign, and she covered more ground than the early settlers.

Barrier three should allow her to sit closer in transit, and if the gaps appear as heads turn for home, she can figure in the finish.

She needs to recapture her mojo!

Galano $17.00/$5.00

Galano is over the odds.

The Snitzel gelding has won two on the bounce, and he deserves his shot at this level on Saturday.

He races well with the sting out of the ground, and the mile looks ideal at this stage of his preparation.

The consistent five-year-old still needs improvement for the campaign, and his double-figure quote has been nibbled at early doors.

Glad You Think So will start race favourite after recording a gutsy victory in a hot form race.

The So You Think gelding has been freshened up since, and a recent barrier trial should put his key rivals on notice.

The current track conditions will suit the big boy to a tee, and he should be rock-hard fit with a lengthy campaign.

Jumping from the Bondi Icebergs is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Q

$100 for 100%

Autumn Glow can resume a winner in the opening leg.

The undefeated mare oozes class, and she looks to have this race and the upcoming spring carnivals at her mercy.

The word-class Via Sistina has one hoof on the till in the Group 1 Winx Stakes, while Robusto, War Eternal, and Fangirl all gain a gurnsey for quaddie insurance purposes.

I expect Yellow Brick, Encap, Lazzura, General Salute, and Corniche to be prominent in the penultimate event on the program, while we have a handful of selections flying the flag in the get-out-of-jail stakes.

Best of luck!
