Legacy Bound $3.30

Legacy Bound was a brilliant winner on debut at Ballarat.

The Ole Kirk gelding put his rivals to the sword a long way from home, and he deserves a crack at this level on Friday.

The 1400m is ideal at this preparation stage, and he is ideally drawn in a middle gate.

He strips fitter after his first-up heroics and looks like the likely leader on paper.

Upside and progression for days!

Stay Cosmic has made an impressive start to his racing career.

The talented two-year-old turned heads in a winning debut at Cranbourne, and he was game in defeat at his latest outing at Sandown.

The big boy will appreciate the step out in trip, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his opponents.

His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

West Indies $6.00

West Indies is knocking on the door.

The Fastnet Rock gelding savaged the line from a different suburb at his latest outing, and he put the writing on the wall for a third-up assault.

The inform Blake Shinn will attract further market support, and the 2800m will suit the enigmatic three-year-old to a tee.

His 58kg and record at the track are among the primary concerns.

Format will start race favourite after a consistent campaign to date.

The versatile three-year-old handles all track conditions, and the longer trip plays into his favour.

The Frankel Colt oozes class, and he has been well supported since acceptances.

His recent winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Foreverintime $12.00/$4.00

Foreverintime is over the odds.

The Written Tycoon filly is coming off a forgive run with genuine excuses, and her form prior was rock-solid.

The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and I suspect she will appreciate the significant drop in class.

From barrier seven, she will sit a couple of pairs back in the running line, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, she will loom to win.

Too consistent to pot!

Rockin’ At Midnite will have plenty of supporters after producing an eye-catching run first-up at Caulfield.

The Extreme Choice filly has made an impressive start to her racing career and looks well placed in this company.

From the awkward gate she will roll forward and control the tempo, and if she runs out a strong 1400m, she will look the winner at the clock-tower.

She tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of the contest.

QUADDIE

Q

$70 for 100%

Legacy Bound and Stay Cosmic will battle it out in a very even and competitive edition of the Anzac Day Stakes.

Both are racing well at present, and I suspect they will lock horns inside the final furlong.

We have gone extremely wide in the Vrc St Leger, while a handful of selections fly the quaddie flag in the penultimate event on the program.

The talented King Zephyr will determine our fate in the lucky last.
