Keeneland $10.00

Keeneland looks the perfect Derby type.

The Almanzor gelding was a brilliant winner two starts back in the Super Impose, and he performed extremely well despite being outsprinted in slowly ran race at his latest.

The step out in distance is advantageous, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute to peak in our oldest tradition.

From barrier eleven, he will roll forward and pilot the field, and if he turns the feature into a true staying event, I expect him to figure in the finish.

Red Aces got the job done in the shadows at Moonee Valley.

The Dundeel colt strips fitter and looks dangerous jumping from a perfect inside barrier.

The big boy can occupy the box seat throughout, and if he runs out a strong 2500m, and can make his presence felt in the shadows.

Rey Magnerio $4.50

Rey Magnerio was beaten by a bee’s appendage at Caulfield.

He defied the track pattern of the day, and he was checked at a crucial stage when looking for clear air.

The step out to 1200m is ideal third-up from a spell, and he always performs well at headquarters.

At his latest outing, he ran the fastest sectionals of the meeting, and with even luck in transit on Saturday, I expect him to gobble up his rivals late.

It’sourtime is must for broader multiples and exotics.

The Time For War gelding is rock-hard fit, and his record at the track and distance is remarkable.

The versatile seven-year-old hit the line strongly at his latest, and he looks ready to figure.

He tends to find one or two better on race day.

Dominetta $16.00/$5.00

Dominetta has impressed during the early stages of her career.

The Zoustar filly won like Winx fresh, and she was only beaten by the camera in a hot form race at her latest.

The half-sister to Hartnell looks comfortable over the 1400m, and I suspect she is ready to explode third-up from a spell.

The significant class rise is her biggest obstacle.

Too Darn Lizzie was a brilliant last-start winner at Caulfield.

Her record at the distance is near perfect early doors, and I suspect she has the fitness edge on her rivals after a solid campaign.

From barrier nine, she will roll forward and control the tempo throughout, and if she can catch her opponents napping as they turn for home, she can cause a major boilover.

Over the odds.
