Broadsiding $3.00

Broadsiding will attract the attention of many punters and racing fans, resuming first-up over 1400m.

The dual Group 1 winner has turned heads at recent jumpouts, and I suspect he is in for a career-defining spell.

Barrier one gives James McDonald a menagerie of options in the run, and the big boy seems to be unfazed where he sits in transit.

If the rain lobs, he looks extremely hard to beat, and if he is fully wound up for a first-up tilt, this could be a mere formality.

Spring riches await!

Storm Boy can bounce back after failing second-up.

The valuable Justify colt bombed the start, and he subsequently covered more ground than Bourke and Wills as a result.

The seven-furlongs will suit, and I suspect he is ready to peak third-up from a spell.

I am unsure how much his latest outing took out of him.

Take on trust!

Semana $3.00

Semana was good without winning fresh in the Group 1 Winx Stakes.

The form out of the race has stood up several times since, and I suspect she has taken significant benefit from the first-up performance.

Her form throughout the Brisbane winter reads extremely well for this event, and she looks well-placed in this company.

The 55kg puts one hoof on the till, and if the heavens open up before the barriers, I expect her to start in the red.

Hard to toss!

Amelia’s Jewel made a pleasing return to racing for her new stable.

She finished on the heels of a smart one and strips fitter after her recent outing.

The 1400m is in her wheelhouse, and she has been well supported since markets opened.

The weather and track conditions may seal her fate.

Fay's Angels $51.00/$10.00

Fay’s Angels has been extremely unlucky in both starts this campaign.

The Anacheeva mare has been stuck on the dulex on both occasions, and it has been a sickening watch for her supporters.

The drop in grade is advantageous, and she will appreciate the sting out of the track.

1900m looks ideal third-up from a spell, and the 3kg apprentice claim puts her into all winning conversations.

Over the odds!

Unusual Legacy will start race favourite after producing two impressive performances for the preparation.

The Unusual Suspect gelding should arguably remain undefeated for the campaign, and he looks poised to continue winning with even luck in transit.

The step-out trip will suit them, and he will look like the winner if the gaps appear as they run for the doctor.

$80 for 50%

Amelia’s Jewel and Semana will battle it out in the Golden Pendant.

Both mares are ultra-talented, and I suspect they are both in for fruitful and successful spring campaigns.

The progressive Broadsiding has one hoof on the till in the Group 1 Golden Rose, while we have a handful of selections flying our quaddie flag in the Shannon Stakes.

We have gone extremely wide in the lucky last!
