Best Bet - Sunshine Coast Race 8

1

Molly Bloom $3.60

Molly Bloom has one hoof on the till.

The Group 1 winning Kiwi filly oozes class, and she resumes here with an air of expectation surrounding her.

The 1800m will suit first-up, and she performs exceptionally well on all surfaces.

From barrier six, she will sit midfield with cover, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, I expect her to prove too strong for her rivals.

Firestorm looks dangerous jumping from the ideal inside barrier.

The James McDonald and Chirs Waller combination will attract further market support, and the Satono Aladdin filly is racing consistently at present.

The step out to 1800m is advantageous, and I suspect she will pinch the race if the favourite has an off day.

A must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Abounding $7.00

Abounding was good, fresh without winning.

The Rich Enuff filly closed off the race with intent, and she put the writing on the wall for a fruitful and successful campaign ahead.

The Magic Millions winner excels over the 1200m, and she should get the ideal run in transit from a middle draw.

Martin Harley has a winning association with the enigmatic three-year-old, and with even luck on Saturday, I expect their relationship will continue to blossom.

Watch for the talented filly late!

Corniche will start favourite after producing a teasing campaign to date.

The big boy is always thereabouts, and this looks like a winnable assignment for the son of Fastnet Rock.

The awkward alley and recent winning record are among the primary concerns.

Best Roughie - Sunshine Coast Race 9

2

Rubiquitous $11.00/$3.50

Rubiquitous is over the odds!

The Rubick gelding is a first-up specialist, and he finds his pet distance on Saturday.

The middle gate will allow him to roll forward, and if he finds the bunny uncontested during the race’s early stages, he will look the winner as they run for the judge.

All That Pizzazz will have supporters after producing a slashing fresh run at Eagle Farm.

The Spirit Of Boom gelding will appreciate the drop in class, and he traditionally races well at this stage of his campaign.

His record at the distance must be respected, and there has been an avalanche of money for the big boy in early betting.

The carpark draw is the biggest deterrent.

QUADDIE

Q

$80 for 50%

Corniche and Abounding will fight out the finish in the Gold Coast Guineas.

Both runners are extremely talented, and I am looking forward to seeing them go to war during the final furlong.

We have a handful of runners in a very competitive edition of the A.D. Hollindale Stakes, while our best bet, Molly Bloom, has the Gold Coast Bracelet at her mercy.

It’s a field job in the lucky last!
