Step Aside $2.50

Step Aside is flying this preparation.

The Redwood gelding was an impressive winner first-up, and he has been great without getting the job done the rest of the campaign.

The form around the talented four-year-old has stood up time and again, and he looks perfectly placed in this company.

From barrier one, he should get the run of the race, and if gaps appear at the right time, I expect him to prove too strong late.

Buillt is as honest and consistent as my haircut.

The I Am Invincible gelding is limited. However, he simply doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

The Waller and McDonald combination must be respected, and with even luck in transit, the big boy will be storming home late.

His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Our Kobison $2.00

Our Kobison looks incredibly hard to beat.

The Kobayashi gelding caught the eye of punters first-up, and he meets easier opposition here.

The extra 100m is perfect, and he his second-up record is rock-solid.

The enigmatic four-year-old has made a fantastic start to his career, and I expect him to go through his grades over the coming months.

Barrier one and the addition of James McDonald will give his opposition sleepless nights.

Shohei is over the odds.

The Mikki Isle mare is racing well without winning, and I am certain her next victory is just around the corner.

The drop back to 1100m is advantageous, and she will get every chance to pilot the field, jumping from a middle gate.

She tends to find one slightly better on the day.

Pioneer Lass $11.00/$3.30

Pioneer Lass represents great each-way value.

The Stratum Star mare was brilliant when winning fresh, and she produced a career peak second-up at Group 3 level.

The significant drop in class reads well, and she should get a dream run in transit from the perfect inside draw.

She only has to reproduce her last-start performance to figure in the finish.

Over the odds!

Centrestone will start favourite after racing well in some hot form races in Queensland.

The Hinchinbrook mare is in career best form, and she deserves her tag as race favourite.

She traditionally races well at this stage of the campaign, and if she doesn’t get too far out of her ground during the middle stages of the race, she can figure in the finish.

A wet track is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Q

$126 for 100%

Happy to go wide in the opening leg of the quaddie.

It’s arguably the toughest race to pick on the program, and I want to be alive for the remaining legs.

Our best Step Aside will battle it out with Buillt in the second leg, while Our Kobison has one hoof on the till in the penultimate event on the program.

I am confident we have enough selections in the lucky last to bring home the bacon.

Best of luck!
