Abounding $3.50

Abounding has one hoof on the till.

The Rich Enuff filly was a brilliant winner fresh, and she was game in defeat at her latest outing.

The talented three-year-old is building an impressive career record, and the 1200m is in her wheelhouse.

From barrier ten, she will sit midfield in the running line, and if she doesn’t cover too much ground during the race’s early stages, I expect her to prove too strong late for her rivals.

Show Me Mercy is flying.

All performances this preparation have been first-class, and I suspect he still has further natural improvement to come for the campaign.

The Astern gelding should get the perfect cart into the race, and anything is possible with the people’s jockey Michael Rodd aboard.

This is his acid test.

Far Too Easy $2.20

Far Too Easy caught the eye fresh.

The All Too Hard gelding meets easier opposition here, and a recent mouthwatering barrier trial will have him cherry-ripe for his second-up assignment.

He traditionally races well at this stage of his preparation and always performs well at the track and distance.

From barrier five, he will sit in the one-out-one back position, and if James Orman presses the go button at the right time, it will be all over, bar the shouting!

Irish Songs is over the odds!

The Shamus Award is too consistent to dismiss, and his best form reads incredibly well for this event.

The drop back to the six furlongs could prove a training masterstroke, and I suspect he will occupy the box seat throughout, jumping from a perfect inside barrier.

His recent winning record is the primary concern.

Burnish Gold $23.00/$5.50

Burnish Gold is over the odds!

The Defcon mare has shown glimpses of her best form this campaign, and if she can piece it all together, she can upset her more fancied rivals.

Her record at the distance must be respected, and I suspect she is ready to explode after a little freshen-up.

She needs to recapture her groove!

Maid To Fit is flying.

The Snitzel mare has won four races on the bounce, and the progressive four-year-old looks well placed to continue on her winning ways in this company.

The carpark draw and allocated weight are among the primary concerns.

QUADDIE

Q

$100 for 25%

Felix The Scat and Shy Guy will battle it out in the opening leg of the quaddie.

The talented three-year-olds are progressive, and I expect them both to go on to bigger and better things.

Defiant Spirit, Deep Respect, Show Me Mercy, and Abounding will all be prominent in the Gold Edition Plate. At the same time, Scallopini, Ucalledit, Eleven Eleven, Far Too Easy, and Irish Songs will be front and centre in the penultimate event on the program.

It’s a field job in the lucky last!

Leg 2: 3, 4, 6,9
Leg 3: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Leg 4: Field
