Super Smink $2.75

Super Smink is ready to explode third-up from a spell!

The Super One filly has been brilliant in both outings this preparation, and I suspect further improvement will come for the campaign.

The step out in distance is advantageous, and I expect her to receive the run of the race jumping from barrier three.

Her record at the track is outrageous, and if she sees clear air as they run for the doctor, she will figure in the finish.

Keshi Boom is flying!

The undefeated Spirit Of Boom filly displayed a devastating turn of foot to snatch victory here at her latest appearance, and she looks dangerous on the quick backup.

The awkward barrier and sharp class rise are among the primary concerns.

Alsephina $4.50

Alsephina is poised to strike!

Both runs this preparation have been excellent without winning, and I suspect the Star Turn mare has been trained to the minute for this Group 1 event, the time-honoured Railway Stakes.

She strips fitter after her recent outings, and the mile looks perfect at this stage of her spell.

The 53kg on her back is a luxury, and I expect plenty of market support with William ‘The Wizard’ Pike aboard.

This is her acid test!

Roots is too consistent to dismiss.

The Press Statement mare put her rivals to the sword last start at Rosehill, and her best form reads incredibly well for this event.

The talented five-year-old gets in well at the weights, and the Chris Waller factor can never be underestimated.

Barrier fifteen is her biggest obstacle.

Big Screen $13.00/$3.70

Big Screen is over the odds.

The Sessions gelding has been good without threatening this campaign, and his next victory is just around the corner.

The drop back to 1400m could prove a training masterstroke, and I expect him to roll forward and pilot the field from the middle gate.

If the enigmatic six-year-old can pinch some cheap sectionals throughout, he may prove hard to run down.

His recent winning record is the primary concern.

Magnificent Andy will start favourite after producing a consistent preparation to date.

The Magnus gelding hasn’t missed the top four all campaign, and he looks well-placed meeting easier opposition.

I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals, and he looks dangerous jumping from a perfect inside barrier.

Hard to toss!

$76 for 10%

Let’s Galahvant, Magnificent Andy, Vast Art, Ihts Closing Inn, Big Screen, and Pompey will all be prominent in a very even edition of the Carbine Club Of W.A. Stakes.

Super Smink and Keshi Boom will fight out the finish in the Wa Guineas, while Tuvalu, Roots, Alsephina, and Bustler are the most likely to taste Group 1 glory in the Railway Stakes.

It’s a field job in the lucky last!
