Vauban $3.70

Vauban comes to Australia with superior English and Irish form.

The Galiway gelding has won his last two starts in arrogant fashion, and I suspect he will roll forward to make this a true staying test.

The 55kg is a luxury, and he looks extremely hard to beat after drawing perfectly in barrier three.

His win at Royal Ascot is still fresh in the memory bank, and I suspect his best may be too good!

The 3200m is a slight concern.

Breakup $17.00

Breakup was good without threatening in his Australian debut.

The Japanese visitor lost all momentum at a crucial stage and was lucky to stay on his feet.

The step out to 3200m is advantageous, and he strips fitter after his recent outing.

His Japanese form reads exceptionally well for this event, and I suspect the camp aren’t here for a holiday.

He is a must for all broader multiples and exotics.

Lastotchka $17.00

Lastotchka was a brilliant last-start winner in France.

The Myboycharlie mare possesses a huge turn of foot, and she thrives over the longer trips.

The appointment of Craig Williams is advantageous, and with even luck in transit, I expect her to figure in the finish.

She has been building towards this assignment, and I expect the flood of money to continue until the barriers open.

Barrier twenty-one is the primary concern.

$77 for 50%

I am happy to standout Vauban.

His turn of foot is spectacular, and he can stay all day!

Gold Trip, Without A Fight, Breakup, Soulcombe, Absurde, Lastotchka, and More Felons can fight it out for second place, while It’s a field job for third.

Best of luck!
