Best Bet - Randwick Race 8

Zaaki $4.20

Zaaki looks poised to strike after producing a recent eye-catching barrier trial.

The evergreen galloper has an exceptional first-up record, and the veteran nine-year-old always races well over the 1400m.

Jamie Kah takes the ride on her return to the races, and if she can pinch some cheap sectionals in transit on the big boy, he will look the winner at the furlong.

The Leroidesanimaux gelding handles all track conditions, and he has been a marvel since arriving in Australia.

Hard to toss!

King Colorado resumes after producing a Group 1 winning preparation.

The Kingman colt was a dominant winner of the JJ Atkins at Eagle Farm and looks to have a bright future ahead.

He has been smashed at a price since markets opened, and I suspect he will be fully wound up for a first-up tilt.

It may pay dividends to watch for any further significant market support.

He has the spring at his mercy.

Zougotcha $3.80

Zougotcha can resume a winner despite the carpark draw.

The Zoustar mare races well fresh and will be suited by the current track conditions.

A recent barrier trial will have the talented four-year-old ready for the short and sharp assignment first-up, and she will appreciate the significant drop in class.

Her best form reads incredibly well for this event, and I am sure the Chris Waller and James McDonald combination will attract heavy market support.

Class runner!

Parisal will have supporters after turning heads and breaking on course clocks at a recent jumpout.

The Astern mare is coming off a career-defining preparation, and I suspect she has further natural improvement to come.

The 53kg allocated weight is a luxury, and she is undefeated at the trip.

This is her acid test!

Hollywood Hero $10.00/$3.30

Hollywood Hero was game in defeat at his latest outing.

The Sacred Falls gelding chased home a smart one, and he lost no admirers in the process.

The step out to a mile is advantageous, and I suspect he is ready to produce a peak run for the campaign.

From barrier two, he will roll forward and control the tempo, and if he can pinch a margin as they turn for home, he will prove hard to run down.

Foujita San savaged the line fresh.

The Maurice gelding ran well without threatening, and he will thrive stepping out in the trip.

He has won second-up previously, and he strips fitter here.

He will always need an element of luck with his racing pattern and style.

QUADDIE

Q

$105 for 50%

The Chris Waller-trained Zougotcha can get our quaddie off to a winning start.

She is a classy customer, and I expect her to get the chocolates on Saturday.

Our best bet, Zaaki, can take out the Winx Stakes, while we have gone extremely wide in the last two events on the program looking for value.

Best of luck!
