Best Bet - Sandown Race 6

12

Von Hauke $3.80

Von Hauke looked good winning his maiden last start at Mornington.

He was a convincing winner, and he broke every clock on the course.

The Savabeel gelding finds a winnable Benchmark 64 on Wednesday, and he has been heavily supported in early betting.

The soft conditions play into his favour, and if he can find cover from the wide gate, I expect him to figure in the finish.

Miss Jenni Lynn is over the odds after a stunning last-start victory at Kilmore.

The Starspangledbanner filly will roll forward from the awkward barrier, and if she can control the tempo throughout, she will look the winner on straightening.

The class rise is the primary concern.

Just Johnno $5.50

Just Johnno is ready to win!

Both runs this preparation have caught the eye, and I expect him to explode third-up from a spell on Wednesday.

His best form reads well for this event, and he arguably should have won last start after being held up at a crucial stage.

From barrier three he can box seat, and if Beau Mertens can angle the big boy out at the right time, he can prove too strong for his rivals late.

Magnetic Prince will have supporters after a strong last-start win at Geelong.

The Magnus gelding has an exceptional record at the distance, and the current track conditions are advantageous.

Barrier eleven is his biggest obstacle.

Best Roughie - Sandown Race 4

Miltida $9.00/$3.00

Miltida looks dangerous jumping from the ideal inside barrier.

The 2kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and the Helmet mare is rock-hard fit after a consistent preparation.

The step out in distance puts her into all winning conversations, and the early market support indicates a forward showing.

Her winning record is the biggest deterrent.

Cuban Link will start favourite after a campaign of narrow misses.

The Testa Rossa mare looks well-placed meeting easier opposition, and her next win is just around the corner.

The wide gate may determine her fate during the early stages of the race.

QUADDIE

Q

$96 for 50%

Dillian and Blazing Rebel can get the job done for punters in the opening leg of the quaddie.

Our best bet Von Hauke has the second-leg at his mercy, while I am happy to stay out of the penultimate event of the day.

We have gone with a handful of selections in a very open and competitive final event.

Best of luck!

Leg 2: 12
Leg 3: Field
Leg 4: 1, 5, 10, 11, 13, 14
