Giga Kick $1.70

The boom horse Giga Kick will start favourite in the day’s feature event. After his last-start win in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes, he will start a deserved odds-on favourite, and he looks to have this race at his mercy. He silenced a few critics after his recent victory, and I expect him to continue on his winning ways Saturday. The track conditions won’t worry the versatile gelding by Scissor Kick, and only his bad barrier manners will stop him from figuring in the finish. The talented three-year-old Aft Cabin showed a blistering turn of foot to score at Randwick on his latest outing.1200m is his pet distance, and with the proper run-in transit, I expect him to be prominent when the whips are cracking. His long campaign may be his undoing.

Prince Of Boom will look the winner on straightening.

I prefer to see him at 1400m at this stage of his preparation, and I am unsure he can mix it with our best sprinters.

Cepheus $5.00

Cepheus looks the likely leader, and if he finds the front when the barriers open, he will give them something to run down!

The Sea The Stars gelding has been screaming out for the 2000m his whole campaign, and Nash Rawiller has a winning association with the talented six-year-old.

He has been well supported since markets opened, and if the track dries out, I expect his quote to shorten further.

Kalapour will start as favourite after a consistent preparation in Queensland.

His win over 1800m two-starts back was impressive, and he only peaked on his run late at his latest outing over 2200m.

The drop back to 2000m is the right move, and if he can overcome the carpark draw, I expect him to be in the finish.

The step up in class is the primary concern.

Platinum Invador is a must for broader multiples and exotics.

The Kiwi visitor is racing in great spirit, and a peak performance would see him figure in the finish.

It may pay to watch for any significant market moves.

Sailor's Secret $21/$5.00

Sailor’s Secret is over the odds!

The Better Than Ready gelding led them a merry dance on top of the speed last start, and he recorded a popular and dominant win.

From barrier two, I expect him to roll forward to take luck out of the equation, and if he is left to his own devices, he can win again.

He deserves his shot at a decent race, and his record at the distance puts him into all winning conversations.

Ekaterina will start favourite after producing an eye-catching run despite carrying the grandstand.

The Russian Revolution filly drops 4kg, and she looks well-placed meeting easier opposition.

From barrier one, she can sit close to the speed, and if Tim Clark can angle her out on turning, she will be savaging the line late.

Atmosphere is knocking on the door!

The Lonhro gelding has been game in defeat at his last couple of starts, and his subsequent win is just around the corner.

He needs to convert narrow losses into victories.

QUADDIE

Q

$32 for 100%

Cepheus and Kalapour can get the punters off to a flyer in the first leg of the quaddie.

They have entirely different form lines. However, they both look poised to strike over the 2000m.

Kovalica will win the second leg en route to the Derby, while Giga Kick can go to another stratosphere in the Doomben 10,000.

We have gone extremely wide in the lucky last, looking for some value and insurance.

Best of luck!
