Sandown March 15th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Sandown Race 1

2

Rivaport $2.35

Rivaport can bounce back after a disappointing first-up run.

The drop in grade is advantageous, and she is ideally drawn in barrier three.

She has won well second-up previously, and her form last preparation is too good to ignore.

Commodus is notching up wins for fun.

The Uncle Mo gelding deserves his shot at this level, and the mile is his pet distance.

The allocated weight and wide barrier draw are the primary concerns.

Red On Red can run well in the small field.

The Magnus gelding is racing in great spirit, and he can make his own luck on top of the speed.

Ice Pick Nick $5.00

Ice Pick Nick is running well without winning.

The 3kg apprentice claim is a luxury; he looks well placed in this grade.

He is always well-supported in the market, and he is knocking on the door!

His winning strike rate is the primary concern.

Helix will start favourite after making an impressive start to his career.

He was brave at Pakenham last start and looks dangerous from barrier four.

I expect further market support closer to the start time.

King Valley is a must for wider exotics at a reasonable price.

The Cluster gelding is due for a change in luck!

Best Roughie - Sandown Race 4

2

Angelique $9/$3.50

Angelique has been freshened up since her latest outing.

The Harry Angel filly was slightly disappointing last-start, and she needs to bounce back on Wednesday.

Her best form reads well for this event, and the apprentice claim has her poised to strike.

Treasurway will start favourite after several teasing runs.

The class drop is significant, and the Starspangledbanner filly is nearing a well-deserved victory.

The awkward barrier is the biggest concern.

Drift Net is an interesting debutant.

The Exceed And Excel filly has been good without threatening in her trials, and the James Cummings factor needs to be respected.

QUADDIE

Q

$26 for 100%

South Of Houston is our standout selection in the first leg of the quaddie.

The Deep Field filly oozes class, and she looks tough to beat from an inside draw.

In the second leg, we pin our hopes and dreams on Hasseltoff and Mystery Island, while Defiant Diva will decide our fate in the third.

We have gone extremely wide in the luck last!

Best of luck!
