Sandown March 1st, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Sandown Race 1

1

Beauty Rising $2.30

Beauty Rising ran well last start without threatening.

The Deep Field filly will appreciate the significant drop in grade, and she should get the run of the race from barrier four.

Her current form reads well for this event, and I expect her to be fighting out the finish.

Forever More was excellent on debut at Bendigo.

The Starspangledbanner filly savaged the line late, and she strips fitter here.

If she doesn’t get too far out of her ground in the early stages, she will figure in the finish.

Celestial Storm must be considered on exposed form.

A peak performance is pretty close.

Spirit Beast $5.00

Spirit Beast produced a teasing run fresh.

The Scissor Kick gelding has previously won second-up, and he is ideally drawn in a middle gate.

The 1400m is advantageous; I expect him to fly home late.

The Peter Moody-trained Red Sun Sensation will start favourite.

His first-up record must be respected, and the 2kg apprentice claim could prove a masterstroke.

The class drop is significant.

Lady Hampton will have supporters after producing a consistent preparation to date.

She hit the line nicely last start and looks well placed back at this level.

Barrier four will allow the Hampton Court mare to sit closer to the speed before striking in the shadows.

Best Roughie - Sandown Race 4

Uniquely $26/$5

Uniquely can run well here at a reasonable price.

The 1.5kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and her record at a distance must be respected.

She is racing well without much luck, and I expect an improved performance on Wednesday.

Accuse will start favourite after a stellar campaign.

The Atlante gelding has been freshened since his last outing, and he looks poised to strike from an inside draw.

The Jamie Kah and Ciaron Maher combination must be respected.

Sign Seal Deliver looks over the odds.

The Dundeel gelding runs wells fresh; his track record speaks for itself.

QUADDIE

Q

$121 for 50%

Mr I’m A Believer could decide our quaddie fate in the opening leg.

He looks well placed on Wednesday, and I expect him to be savaging the line late.

We have gone extremely wide in the middle legs, while our quaddie hopes and dreams rest on Dashing in the lucky last.

Best of luck!
