Sandown February 15th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Sandown Race 2

1

Fistsoffury $2.30

Fistsoffury was ultra-impressive on debut at Pakenham.

From barrier two, Damien Oliver can sit close to the speed before unleashing his massive turn of foot.

The Dundeel colt has plenty of upside and looks to have the rest of the field covered on exposed form.

Freakofnature can be competitive on debut from an inside draw.

The Snitzel colt has trialled impressively leading into this event, and I expect him to be cherry ripe for a first-up tilt.

Apulia hit the line nicely on debut at Pakenham.

The Fiorente colt looks promising, and the 1300m loos ideal second-up.

The Craig Williams factor must be respected.

Next Best - Sandown Race 4

5

Allegretta $8.50

Allegretta savaged the line start at Flemington over 1200m.

The step-up to 1300m is advantageous, and the apprentice claim could prove a masterstroke.

The Pierro mare is racing in great spirit this preparation, and I expect her to be in the finish with even luck in running.

The winning machine Pacific Ruby looks hard to beat from an inside draw.

She is chasing four wins on the trot, and she was previously a winner at the track.

Being unproven at the distance is the primary concern.

Gunna Gunna is a must for wider exotics.

He won impressively last start at Warrnambool, and he very rarely runs a bad race.

Best Roughie - Sandown Race 6

3

Lloyd's Crown $19/$4.60

Lloyd’s Crown can run a big race at juicy odds.

He produced an eye-catching run at Moonee Valley last start, and he should save every inch of ground jumping from barrier one on Wednesday.

The 3kg apprentice claim has him well placed here, and his love affair with Sandown can continue.

Senegalia will start favourite after an effortless win at Flemington last start.

The Street Boss mare will relish the drop back to 1000m, and she will be hard to hold out with even luck from a middle gate.

The Jamie Kah and Ciaron Maher combination must be respected.

Who Shot Suzy is over the odds after being narrowly beaten by a smart one at her latest outing.

QUADDIE

Q

$120 for 50%

Miso will decide our quaddie fate in the last race of the day.

He will lead them into the home straight, and I expect him to look the winner at Corrigan’s Dip.

We have gone wider than the Grand Canyon in the remaining legs on a very competitive racing program.
