NFL Playoffs, Week 1 Tips and Previews

49ers vs. Seahawks

January 15th

Super Bowl Odds: $6.50 (49ers) & $67 (Seahawks).

Last time they met: The 49ers defeated the Seahawks 13-21 (Week 15).

Who’s all in on San Francisco? Seemingly, everyone.

Bet Nation has the 49ers as $1.17 favourites to topple the Seahawks and make it 11 straight wins after starting the season 3-4.

The pressure will come on the rookie quarterback, Brock Purdy, who has answered all questions so far with a 5-0 record as a starter.

Seattle advanced to the playoffs with nine wins but had no answers for the 49ers in either of their meetings this year.

SUGGESTED BET:

C. McCaffrey first touchdown scorer at $5.50

Jaguars vs. Chargers

January 15th

Super Bowl Odds: $41 (Jaguars) & $23 (Chargers)

Last time they met: The Jaguars defeated the Chargers 38-10 (Week 3).

Week 3 was a genuine bloodbath between these two sides, but a lot has happened in the months since.

LA suffered extensive injuries throughout the year but appeared to be getting its best team on the park at the right time. Joey Bosa, one of the best defenders in the game, recently returned to lead the Chargers but is still dealing with a groin concern.

QB Trevor Lawrence has been the key for the Jaguars, running Doug Pederson’s offense at a high level and spreading the ball around.

SUGGESTED BET:

Chargers to win at $1.71

Bills vs. Dolphins

January 16th

Super Bowl Odds: $5 (Bills) & $51 (Dolphins).

Last time they met: The Bills defeated the Dolphins 32-29 (Week 15).

Boy, oh boy, the market has gravitated to those Bills at $1.13. For a good reason, too.

His name is Josh Allen. The Bills’ quarterback threw nine touchdown passes to zero interceptions in two playoff games last year, proving he has the temperament to perform on the big stage.

However, all is not lost for the Dolphins, who can put up points quickly via their star receivers, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

SUGGESTED BET:

J. Allen first touchdown scorer at $8

Vikings vs. Giants

January 16th

Super Bowl Odds: $26 (Vikings) & $41 (Giants)

Last time they met: The Vikings defeated the Giants 27-24 (Week 16).

The one thing we can be confident about in this match is that if it goes down to the wire, load up on the Vikings.

The third-ranked side in the NFC set an NFL record this season by winning every one of their 11 games decided by one score. They’re confident in the fourth & that trait bodes well for postseason success.

The Giants weren’t far off the Vikings when they met in Week 16 and became part of the record when they lost by three on a 61-yard, walk-off field goal. QB Daniel Jones has been the key to them clinching a playoff berth.

SUGGESTED BET:

Total points over +46.5 at $1.72

Bengals vs. Ravens

January 16th

Super Bowl Odds: $8 (Bengals) & $31 (Ravens).

Last time they met: The Bengals defeated the Ravens 27-16 last Sunday.

Can Cincinnati go one further than last year? After making the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years and eventually going down to the LA Rams, the Bengals are arguably playing even better this season.

Despite being unable to put two strong halves together recently, Joe Burrow is clutch in the fourth – a handy attribute for a QB in the playoffs.

The Ravens aren’t without a chance, with their defense as impressive as any and carrying them to the playoffs despite missing QB Lamar Jackson for the last five games.

SUGGESTED BET:

Bengals last team to score at $1.51

Buccaneers vs. Cowboys

January 17th

Super Bowl Odds: $26 (Buccaneers) & $12 (Cowboys)

Last time they met: The Buccaneers defeated the Cowboys 19-3 (Week 1)

Can Dallas beat Brady? That’s the question heading into this one. The champion QB has never lost to the Cowboys (7-0) throughout his decorated career.

On paper, the Cowboys should win this. Since Dak Prescott returned from injury, they’ve averaged the most points in the NFC (32.5) and finished with a 12-5 record.

But playoff games aren’t decided on paper, with the Brady factor giving the Bucs the slimmest of chances.

SUGGESTED BET:

E. Elliot first touchdown scorer at $8
