NFL Week 15, Tips and Previews

Bills vs. Dolphins

December 18th

Buffalo hasn’t been the all-conquering force it was in the season’s opening weeks, but it has found a way to grind out the wins it needs, which is as big a tool to have in the kit as the blowout wins.

Josh Allen struggled at times against the Jet’s defense but hit up his available targets with a new favourite in Tight End, Dawson Knox.

The Bills’ Defense has also shown it has some strings to the bow, with pass rushers Gregory Rosseau and A.J. Epenesa a legitimate threat for any opposition quarterback which will play on the mind of Tua Tagovailoa. The Dolphins’ QB hasn’t been at his best over the past couple of weeks, with some questionable protection from his offensive line. If he can spot Tyreek Hill early, Miami will be a chance, but ultimately they don’t have the class of their opponents, and it should be a Buffalo win.

SUGGESTED BET:

Tyreek Hill to score a touchdown at $2.80

Chargers vs. Titans

December 19th

Los Angeles may be hitting its stride at the right end of the season, with Justin Herbert playing at his best after battling with injury in the early weeks. The Chargers Quarterback has been combining beautifully with Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, and when their offense hits its stride, they are hard to stop. Williams is also back to his best after suffering an injury and will be a crucial part of the Chargers’ run home.

Tennessee has been thereabouts for much of the year but has yet to convince many of its credentials. Their offense has conceded too many turnovers in recent weeks. Derrick Henry can still bust opposition defences wide open, but QB Ryan Tannehill battles against some of the more unrelenting defenses. Look for Los Angeles to claim this one.

SUGGESTED BET:

Los Angeles Chargers -1.5 at $1.72

Commanders vs. Giants

December 19th

Washington has been one of the quiet achievers in the second half of this season and comes into this game with plenty to play for. Unusually these two teams only played each other two weeks ago, with the Commanders having the bye last week. Both teams are locked on 7-5-1 records in the same division, so this will genuinely shape the NFC East.

Saquon Barkley has been a shell of himself over the past month, and the Giants suffer when he is not at full tilt. On the other side of the ball, the New York defense has also been far from its best, conceding far too many points lately.

Taylor Heinicke is playing at his absolute best for the Commanders, while Brian Robinson has made the running back position his own. All the momentum is going Washington’s way ahead of a rare Sunday night game for both teams.

SUGGESTED BET:

Commanders win at $1.45

Packers vs. Rams

December 20th

For much of the season, both these teams have been playing like a car crash in slow motion. The Rams have never looked close to defending their Superbowl win, suffering a raft of injuries while Aaron Rodgers’ steep decline is playing out for all to see.

Los Angeles’ late win over Las Vegas was spine-tingling staff with an unbelievable drive from new QB Baker Mayfield, who had as limited preparation as possible.

With another ten days to learn the playbook and his teammates, Mayfield will be more comfortable in the slot, but it should be remembered that there was a reason Carolina cut him midway through the season.

While Rodgers has struggled, he has a weapon at his disposal that is growing every week. Christian Watson has been one of the league’s best receivers over the second half of the season and could play a significant role in getting his team over the line for a rare win this season.

SUGGESTED BET:

Packers -6.5 at $1.84
