Racing July 9th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Caulfield Race 4

12

Impulsar $3.60

Impulsar debuted in fine style at Sandown when racing for the first time in Australian under the watchful eye of Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace.

He hit the line with a head full of steam and showed his worth as imported horse.

Being a Frankel gelding, he will love getting up to 2000 metres and the middle pin is the perfect barrier for a horse of his big stride and running type.

Next Best - Murray Bridge Race 1

8

Zebella $2.90

Zebella looks like she has speed to burn and a nice turn of foot from her jump outs.

The early money for her suggests she is going to be geared up and screwed down strongly to run a belter of a race on debut.

Wide barrier no worries if they press forward.

Best Roughie - Randwick Race 5

11

Butch'n'bugs $26/$5.50

Butch’n’bugs went well enough at Newcastle to suggest he can run a good each-way race at long odds.

He is drawn out wide, but it could be the best part of the track with the Randwick track to be in the heavy range.

Could do worse than back him at $26/$5.50.

QUADDIE

Q

$189 for 50%

Caulfield quaddie for Sir John Monash Stakes Day.

Plenty of value around the quaddie legs and we can find our way to strong percentage and dividend.

First leg is a tough one, so we will go slightly wide and then try to thin it up in the last leg.

Leg 1: 2, 4, 7, 8, 14, 15, 17
Leg 2: 3, 6, 9, 12, 13, 15
Leg 3: 4, 6, 8
Leg 4: 9, 14, 15

Outlay: $189
Flexi Percentage = 50%
