Sri Lanka vs. Australia First Test, Tips and Previews

Sri Lanka vs. Australia

June 29th

Injury concerns and a sick superstar make up the lead-in for Australian when it prepares to play Sri Lanka in Galle.

Mitchell Starc is battling a finger injury, Travis Head is on the road back from a hamstring strain and Steve Smith is battling a quad injury.

There are a lot of question marks over whether the Australian brand of cricket can stand up in the tough conditions of the sub-continent.

You only have to rewind to 2016 – the last time Australian travelled to Sri Lanka – to see how difficult facing the home team on its home soil actually is.

A 3-0 whitewash in favour of Sri Lanka and the relics of that series still exist for Australia.

Usman Khawaja will be out to dispel the doubts placed on his head after he had a poor series with the bat last time he was in Sri Lanka.

Khawaja’s form with the willow at test level over the last year has been sensational, in fact, it has been career-best.

Sri Lanka will try to trouble him and the rest of the Aussie batting line-up with its spinning attack comprising of Praveen Jayawickrema, Lasith Embuldeniya and Ramesh Mendis.

Even though it is a completely different format, the Australians did not show an adept nature in handling the Lankan spinners.

Going with Sri Lanka.

Suggested Bet:

Sri Lanka win at $3.30
