NBA Playoffs April 29th, Tips and Previews

Jazz vs. Mavericks

April 29

Utah and Dallas are set to collide on Friday morning in a game that could decide the outcome of their playoff series.

Dallas holds a 3-2 lead and with Luka Doncic now hitting form after overcoming a calf strain, Utah will need to be so much better than it was in its game five loss on Wednesday.

The danger signs set in for Utah when it was routed 102-77 and now, this is a must-win game in order to keep its season alive.

Dallas seems to have found another match-winner alongside Doncic in the from of Jalen Brunson who deputised in the point-scoring guard role early in this series.

There seems to be a real sense of timing about Dallas here and with Doncic now finding his rhythm, Utah could be cooked.

SUGGESTED BET:

Dallas Mavericks head to head at $1.95

Pelicans vs. Suns

April 29

There is no way anyone could have tipped a 3-2 score with the Pelicans playing a sixth game at home against the Suns in this series.

But with Devin Booker on the sidelines, the Pelicans find themselves on the brink of greatness if they can take this to a seventh and knock off the Booker-less Suns.

Chris Paul has been relied upon to be the creative spark in offence with Booker pretty much ruled out for this series and he has met his match in Brandon Ingram.

The Pelicans shooting guard has been phenomenal in this series and has caused all sorts of problems for the Suns usually sturdy defence.

Having said that, Phoenix have now had a few chances to toggle the switches without Booker and should be better for it.

Phoenix rarely has rarely had a bad patch of form this season and, for all the hype around the Pelicans, expect the Western Conference front-runners to pile it on at King Smoothie Arena.

SUGGESTED BET:

Suns -7.5 at $1.90
