Premier League Match Week 9, Tips and Previews

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Manchester City

October 24th

Manchester City take one of toughest road trips in the Premier League at the moment when it heads to American Express Community Stadium to to face Brighton & Hove Albion.

It is the first real big test for Brighton this season as it looks to continue its surprising trend of remaining in the top five, while City looks to chase down Chelsea and Liverpool at the top of the league.

Pep Guardiola has his squad humming along at the moment and a win here will ensure it is within striking distance of top spot.

Even without a recognised centre forward, City has made it work this year with Phil Foden having a career-best season, while the signing of Jack Grealish has worked wonders in midfield.

This is a game that will require Brighton coach Graham Potter to find all the tactical nous in his acumen to deliver a result, but it might just very well be the class factor that proves the difference.

SUGGESTED BET:

Manchester City head to head into Phil Foden anytime goal at $2.25

Tottenham vs. West Ham

October 24th

A good old-fashioned London Derby takes place when Tottenham and West Ham duel at London Stadium for a potential spot in the top four.

The Hammers have found themselves with winning momentum heading into this battle having defeated Everton 1-0 last week and posting a 3-0 win in the Europa League against Genk.

Spurs, meanwhile, will attempt to rectify a midweek slip up in the Europa League as they look towards their league form which sees them having won two domestic games in a row.

Expecting this to be a really tentative match with neither team looking to advance or press too high up the pitch.

Head to head looks way too hard to pick, but the goals going under 2.5 for the match should be the outcome.

SUGGESTED BET:

Total goals under 2.5 at $1.85

Manchester United vs. Liverpool

October 24th

This could be the biggest game of the Premier League this season when Manchester United hosts long-time rival Liverpool at Old Trafford.

There are so many story lines that could eventuate from this pertaining from Ole Gunnar Solkjaer’s tenure, Mo Salah’s claim as the best player in the world, Liverpool’s title fight and Cristiano Ronald facing Liverpool again.

Liverpool has looked every bit of the team which won the league by a record margin in 2019/20 as it continues to hunt down Chelsea at the top, while United has mixed its form and comes into this following a shocking 4-2 defeat against Leicester.

Defensively is where the woes lie at the moment for Manchester United and coming against one of, if not, the best offensive units in world football might be a bridge too far.

Harry Maguire was in all sorts in the loss to the Foxes last week and a game where he has to square up against the likes of Salah and Diogo Jota does not exactly endear us.

SUGGESTED BET:

Liverpool head to head at $2.20
