Best Bet - Race 7

Mahashakti $2.90

Mitchell Freedman has placed this mare perfectly.

She has been building towards a big run over the 2000-metre distance range and did a great job to finish third in the Benalla Cup behind Starcaster and Bartholomew Dias.

It was her first ever defeat at the distance and she was coming into the race after having nearly a month off.

Her fitness levels will be thriving now and you can expect at least two to four-length spike in her last start rating.

Jordan Childs jumps on as well, which is a sign that this stable is clear setting this event as a target race.

Next Best - Race 3

Dollar Chaser $5.5/$2

Dollar Chaser finds the perfect track for his early speed to put to great use.

The three-year-old gelding has looked the winner up to the 100-metre mark of his first two runs back from a spell.

The Cranbourne track, which favours fast on-pace running types, will be ideal for Dollar Chaser with Lewis German slipping this field at the bend and hopefully holding an unassailable lead.

We will be hanging on in the last 50 metres, but hoping German can get this gelding to hold on late in the race.

Looks a good each-way price and we can back him for a place  incase he gets run down.

Best Roughie - Race 9

Hello Broadcast $11/$3.3

Following and trusting that the market was onto something when Hello Broadcast resumed at Cranbourne over 1400 metres.

The six-year-old gelding was prepared for a first-up run by local trainer Enver Jusufovic and the betting had him $7 into $3.1.

He ended up finishing midfield after enduring a tough, but he will be much fitter for that effort and should improve here.

Market has paid little respect to him here and, at the price, we have to have an each-way wager.

QUADDIE

Q

$100 for 100%

The feature event of the night is where our best bet comes.

That is going to give us a nice percentage by taking it one out and then adding in a selection of runners throughout the rest of the quaddie.

We will not have to outlay too much to get a decent percentage should we land a dividend collect.

Leg 1: 4, 8, 9, 13
Leg 2: 3
Leg 3: 5, 6, 7, 9, 11
Leg 4: 5, 6, 10, 12, 14

Outlay: $100
Flexi Percentage = 100%
