Hendrika $1.95

Andrew Bobbin has got his mare Hendrika in great form since nabbing her from the Matt Cumani stable.

The new five-year-old mare put punters on notice with her first-up run for the stable and she delivered in spades when she was well found last start as a $3 winner at Mildura over 1400 metres.

There is a slight query with the weight increase to 62kgs, but she gets Dean Yendall to carry her around the course and from barrier two she will not have to use up too much petrol to find a handy spot in the run.

Looks a mare on the up in country grade and can easily win this and progress to provincial or city grade.

Tsugaru $3

The Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace stable has made the big jockey change with John Allen hopping aboard to ride this four-year-old gelding after two luckless runs.

This sprinter has begun his new preparation behind held up at both his first-up and second-up efforts, but now he will be afforded every chance with Allen in the saddle.

The horse has to contend with stepping up in grade, but that should be of no problem given he should have already won at BM-58 grade this preparation.

Allen should be able to stalk the leaders, peel out and let down with the turn of foot this horse possesses.

Sizzling Sonata $10/$2.1

Sizzling Sonata has been given plenty of time by trainer Patrick Payne to get himself right for a debut run.

The three-year-old gelding will be unveiled for his first start as a sprinter following a heap of jump outs to get him fit and firing.

His most recent effort was over 990 metres at Cranbourne on a heavy nine track where he finished third under light riding.

It may not have been the most impressive jump out, but the fact he responded to riding and sprinted through a gap that appeared is the sign of a good race horse.

He is going to get the suck run in behind the leaders and we know he can handle the heavy going.
