Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona

Barcelona begins Champions League life without Lionel Messi when it hosts Bayern Munich at Camp Nou.

Ronald Koeman guided Blaugrana to a third place in La Liga last year and this is chance for the Dutch head coach to prove his worth as the pressure continues to mount.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, was the champion of Germany yet again last season and looks set to achieve similar feats again.

Both teams sit in similar spots in their respective domestic competitions at the moment.

Lining up the form of both clubs it has been Bayern Munich who has the clear edge from a head to head perspective having belted Barcelona back in 2019/20.

It was an 8-2 aggregate score in favour of the Bavarians which instils us with confidence in the German champions.

However, Barcelona at home is always a hard beat.

Having retained the faith of Joan Laporta and the rest of the powers-that-be at Barcelona for at least another year, Koeman has overseen a largely positive start to the 2021-22 season, with his side claiming seven points from their first three La Liga clashes.

Siding with the draw here with the market not offering too much value about Bayern.

SUGGESTED BET:

Draw at $3.4

Malmo FF vs. Juventus

Juventus head to Sweden for its opening Group H clash against Malmo FF in a bid to turn its poor start to the season around.

After sacking Andrea Pirlo following an unfruitful league and Champions League tilt last year, Juventus has been no where near its best in the Serie A.

The Old Lady has suffered two defeats in a row under Massimiliano Allegri with the catalyst for this poor patch of form being a shock 1-0 loss to Empoli being followed up by a 2-1 loss to Napoli.

Malmo FF, much like Juventus, have been unable to nab a win in its past two games with a 1-1 domestic draw following a 2-1 loss.

The Swedish team had to do it tough through the qualification stages of the Champions League so that might just be dwindling away on its domestic form and potentially on eye on this pivotal clash against Juventus.

It looks as through Juventus are priced on talent and history rather than the form it is currently in.

Malmo look great value to cause an upset in front of its fans.

SUGGESTED BET:

Malmo FF head to head at $6.5

Club Brugge vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain unveils Lionel Messi in the Champions League when the French champions face Club Brugge.

PSG is in supreme form coming into this Group A clash with five games in Ligue 1 baring fruit to five victories with a plus 11 goal difference, while also sits atop of its domestic league through seven matches.

Club Brugge will have sights to just compete and get out of the Group, whereas PSG will be on the hunt to go one better than last year after being heartbroken in the semi-final.

The gulf in talent on the pitch between these two teams is a bottomless pit.

Kylian Mbappe, Messi Neymar, Gigi Donnarumma in goals.

This is going to be a big win for PSG.

SUGGESTED BET:

Lionel Messi first goalscorer at $3.3
