Cuban Link $3.3

Craig Williams treks out to Pakenham for one ride.

Cuban Link is that ride and she has shown enough ability at the jumpouts for Williams to accept the ride on debut.

She has had three jumpouts to get her ready for this run and should be fit enough to run a strong 1200 metres.

Her most recent jumpout may have not looked amazing to the eye as we saw being put under the pump and ridden out.

She did, however, run a strong time and highlighted her ability to respond under pressure.

Holster $2.3

Get the gun out of your Holster because he is going to be firing on all shots today.

The Amy and Ash Yargi trained gelding re-appears at the races after a little break in between runs from his first-up effort.

He resumed back in June on the synthetic surface of Pakenham and ran well when finishing runner-up behind Kermy.

The jumpout in between runs leading up to this race was quite encouraging and he was a winner second-up last preparation.

Big watch on him today and he should be winning this race.

Best Roughie - Race 4

Beta Bite $26/$6

Having a very small speculative play on Beta Bite each-way after a solid enough jumpout back on August 19.

He was put under vigorous riding to make up ground in his jumpout, but it was the probably the best bit of work he has shown as a racehorse.

The five-year-old gelding is an 11-start maiden, but a lot of the time, these older maiden horses significantly benefit from a spell and can produce first-up.

Carleen Hefel has slowly becoming a trustworthy jockey to back and she will get all the favours from barrier three.

QUADDIE

Q

$120 for 200%

Matt Cumani’s stayer looks the one to beat in the first leg.

The middle legs do look a little tricky and could throw a spanner in the works, so we will go with a wide set of selections and bring it home with Holster.

Leg 1: 4
Leg 2: 1, 2, 4, 5
Leg 3: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9
Leg 4: 2
