No Way Ever $3.9

Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace unveil their three-year-old filly for the first time off an impressive jumpout.

She looks to possess a cracking turn of acceleration as seen in her 850-metre jumpout effort at Ballarat.

The filly settled in behind horses and when a gap appeared she darted through under a vice-like grip to ping away and win the jumpout hard held.

Get the impression that when the plugs are released on debut, she will explode and dash to victory.

The Defiant One $2.6

The Defiant One is a leader/on-pace runner who drops back in grade significantly from a last start effort at Caulfield over 1200 metres.

He is now a four-year-old gelding and enters this open BM-58 handicap over 1400 metres with the distinct advantage of racing in the lead.

The wide barrier will be thwarted by his early pace and ability to take luck out of the equation by pinging straight towards the top.

Josh Richards has assumed the ride here and, if he can control the tempo up front, this horse will be the one to run down.

Deyama $12/$2.4

Deyama hit the line nicely at Pakenham over 1400 metres and now gets up to 1600 metres.

She drew the inside barrier last start and was restricted for room up the straight after being asked to race three back on the rails.

The five-year-old mare did not have enough momentum into the bend in order to gear up and get close to the leaders who got away with a fairly easy time up front.

Barrier five present a more favourable situation for her today where she can be in clear air and hit the bend in full stride rather than the stop-start nature she faced a fortnight ago.
